I try to buy gear that runs on AA, AAA, CR2032 batteries.

I like AA and AAA because you can find them in any household all over the world. They don't have the greatest energy density, but their availability trumps all else for me.

Same with CR2032 - little-known fact, there is one in almost every computer ever made. It's the backup battery for the BIOS. So again, you could find one in almost every household.

I like to have a few on hand in every bag I use regularly, so The Battery Clip looks like a pretty neat product for me. Of course you can just toss several batteries into a Ziplock, but it's possible if you have a few in there they could contact one another in just the right way and self-discharge, short out, overheat, rupture or burn up. Lithium in particular burns very hot when exposed to water and Oxygen.

They're a little pricey for what they are but I don't care; I'm worth it [:)]

I personally really like the Storeacell slim line battery holders. I have quite a fee of them and they work great. Look like they would weigh a little less than the battery clip, but the battery clip does hold more of them. Overall it looks pretty neat.
