Centurion Arms (http://www.centurionarms.net/) is releasing their popular CMR Rail in 2 additional lengths, the 9.5 and 11" to add to their existing 12 and 14" versions. They should be just a few weeks out and I believe Rainier Arms will have the first batch.

We'll release full specs and additional pictures as they come available. Until then, these "feature" sheets will have to do. Checkout Centurion Arms (http://www.centurionarms.net/)' new redesigned website here (http://www.centurionarms.net/) for more information.

That 9.5" will look sweet with a 10.2" Noveske 300.

In case anyone is wondering, a Noveske KX5 will not fit inside of a CMR rail, other than the part that is flat for the wrench.

you know what rail it will fit under... a Odin Works KMod rail... just saying you can send that KX5 to me if you are not going to use it haha

Well, I can't give mine away, Sheri gave me an unmarked one without any logos. Not sure they want those escaping into the wild.

I did get an 11" and 9.5" CMR, but now they don't fit with the KX5, I'm wondering how I should build them up.

Here's step 1 for the 9.5" [pop]

Noveske 10.2" 300 Blackout with block and headspaced bolt (https://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=2399)

If you're worried about ensuring clearance for a can, you could stretch the barrel about a quarter of an inch with the Rainier 10.5" barrels.

Eventually I'd like a 10.2" but I already have a Noveske 8.2" in 300... I'd like to actually pair this up with an AAC Ranger 3.

That'd be great! I'm thinking an 11" CMR is too long for an 11.5" barrel, but the 9 should work beautifully on a 10.5" barrel. I like my Centurion MK18, but I think I may prefer a 10.5" with a slimmer handguard than the DD RIS.

Turns out I gave away my last 10.5" barrel, so I had to use a DD 10.3" Sorry, the closest thing I had. I think if you had say an AAC 51T mount, your can would ride up almost flush to the rail if that's the look you're going for.

This is just a mock up....

I'm sorry I don't. I don't have a bare 11.5" Barrel. I was going to use my 11" CMR with a 12.5" as I think a 11.5" is going to sink into the rail too much for my tastes.

Yep yep already had it bookmarked. I won't be getting in on the $85 deal but I plan on doing a NFA Trust. And Facebook is just to much "Family Drama" so I stay off it. Had it at one point, I know you can pick and choose who follows and who you follow but when it was family it always ended with phone calls "why did you unfriend me?"......"cause you are bat poop crazy!!!!" Drama, drama, drama.

Question. I've got an 11" CMR coming with an accessory pack, and after looking at more pics, I'm wondering if I'm gonna have an issue with light and panel placement. The scout mount if used in conjunction with the panels looks like it would only leave room for one panel per side. Can anyone confirm if that's true? A single panel looks like it would be too short to protect my forward hand. I suppose I could cut to fit?

Also, say I don't run the light mount. What's the furthest forward I could mount a pair of panels with no gap between them? Judging by pictures it looks like the furthest forward would be... all the way back...

On a 11" CMR, if you use the Scout Light Mount, You'll only be able to get 1 panel on that side. The other side, you can get 2 panels. The furthest forward you can place it on the sides would be the 3rd screw hole from the front.

Well.... shiz-nit. Guess I'll play with it when everything shows up and see what I can do. I could always cut back a panel on the front end to make it clear the mount I suppose. Failing that I'd have to see if anyone wanted to trade an x300 for a FDE mini scout with a "well loved" look to it.

I wonder if you could strategically place the handstops on the handguard to give you the look you wanted.

Eh, it's not so much about the look. I only shoot with gloves when it's cold enough that it requires them, so panels are required to protect me from a hot forend. Therefore the panels need to be long enough that my hand doesn't hang off the front or back. It's just about space and finding a way to get my light mounted. I'd probably rather use an x300 at the 12:00 but it's hard to justify making the switch when A) I've already got a perfectly good mini scout just hanging out. B) Light probably won't always be mounted anyways , and C) can't throw down for a new light right now as things are tight and getting the gun back up and running takes priority.

Aragorn

A set screw .625 should be fine, but the clamping version looks like it sticks down a bit further. That's what I'm wondering about.

I believe that the .625 and .750 are the same size with different size holes. I may be incorrect though.

Not the Vltors, they're one of the few companies who did it right, and didn't just bore a smaller hole in the same size blank.
