In some ways yes, in some ways no.

Stick and I decided if people are too stupid to read the rules, we're not going to coddle them, hold their hand, or give them step by step instructions. If their accounts remain in limbo, so be it, I don't have the time to respond to every single PM.

Quitter!

The way I see it is, you should've made that the rules from the get go. The people that signed up for this forum, sans giveaway, figured it out. It's not that hard. If you're here for the free stuff, you should be computer savvy enough to check your email.

Mrs. Stick and Mrs. UW has mandated we give this stuff away a lot faster, so prizes maybe dished out at a much faster rate soon.

They want all the boxes out of the living room don't they?

Does your "UW" stand for UDub? If so, GO DAWGS!!!

I must say i'm really glad for this giveaway, I found lockhart munitions and ended up sending one of my ARs to him to get cerakoted. Wouldn't have found him if it weren't for Sticks giveaway. Thanks!

I'm looking forward to seeing the responses from all who win something. There are so many awesome prizes Stickman has arranged to give away. I won an upper receiver, something I never even expected yet it was a part I so very much need. Sure, there are complete uppers worth a lot more, but those uppers wouldn't help me build the 7.62x39 AR pistol I have designed. So, I was really awestruck to have been given the gift of an upper receiver that I do so need. There are also amazing hunting knives I can't afford, but, I do have some knives and keep them sharp so I can live with those I have.

There are going to be many more winners here with Stickman's giveaway, awesome prizes. What I hope the most is that everyone who does win anything will use it and appreciate it. There are receiver sets also to still be won. Sure, if i won a complete receiver set I would have had it transferred trough my local FFL and built something from it, but, I have an Anderson lower receiver I bought last June and had transferred when could afford to buy it for the $57.50 that it cost me. my FFL transfer was free because I take care of the FFl's website. Without that I would have had to spend another $25 to own the lower receiver.

So, I decided I will build a 7.62x39 pistol from that lower receiver. It may take me a 1½ years to complete it, but I WILL build it. Stickman's giveaway gift has now helped on that way.

If anyone complains about winning something, well, that person can expect to hear my wrath. I never expected to win anything from this giveaway and was very shocked to find out I had won something. I very much appreciate that upper receiver and it WILL be mated with my lower receiver.

There is nothing with Sticks giveaway I wouldn't have appreciated. There's a .277 barrel being given away. Well, I have never thought about building a rifle in .277 caliber, but you can all be guaranteed that if I had won that barrel and not an upper reeceiver, that's what I would use my lower receiver to build. My 7.62x39 pistol would have then gone on the back burner for a year or two.

Stickman and UWone together have created a fantastic gift opportunity for many people. If you get lucky, make good use of your gift. Pictures will be appreciated. I'll be posting pictures.

So, I warn all you members who signed up here for Stick's giveaway, if you complain, well, you'll darn well will hear from me. If you don't want or like your prize, well, you can feel free to send it to me, I'll make use of it...

Not sure if this has been addressed before or not... But there are now 2,500+ entries, and several sponsors with waaay fewer "likes" (1,890) than number of entries. Not going to name them because that's making it too easy.
For your entry to remain valid, I would assume you need to be continuously liking all pages as they are added?

Haha I have no doubt about that. The reading comprehension for some is non existent. Just wasn't sure if there was a way of vetting the "winners" who have been selected.

ie. random # gets selected, somehow link the username here to a certain facebook profile, pull up FB profile, doesn't have all pages liked at time of selection (disqualified?), new # is drawn.
So the chances of winning improved by 600 less entries?

Anyway I'll go back to my theories and lusting over one of those GGG packs. I'm going to have one under my Christmas tree, regardless if I win or not! [:D]

UWone77, I think that maybe, part of the confusion may be legit. People are going to Stickmans FB page. When he posts a new vendor, they hit the "like" button on Sticks page, and leave a comment there, rather than trying to find the link to the vendor, and going there and liking them, leaving a comment, sharing or whatever....

[:D] Facebook doesn't come with a manual, some folks have to try to figure it out for ourselves with no help, and if it did come with a manual, I'm sure no one here was born with one sticking out of their ass if you know what I mean.[:D][:D]

Stick and UW, my sympathies to your wives. It sounds like you guys need a wife like mine ... she's happier when I'm not around. :D

Seriously, though, thanks for taking the time to make this whole process special and rewarding to us and to the sponsors. It's much easier to be a sponsor than it is to coordinate the whole thing, I'm sure. I can understand the want to help the new guys out. A lot of people that are entering can probably barely use Facebook much less figure out how a forum works. You wonder how some of them are able to tie their shoes in the morning to get to work. All they want is free stuff ... for free ... without putting the 10 minutes it takes to read the rules or learn how a forum works. Instead they would rather pester you than figure it out on their own. I mean these are grown men (or women)! And you guys seem to be very patient dealing with them ... for the most part anyway! :D

Just know that we see all the work involved and truly appreciate it. You get what you give and you guys are racking up the karma big time!

I know I have liked all the sponsors, I also like their posts that show up in my news feed and comment on many of them. I won an upper receiver that I really do need too from Right to Bear Arms & Supply and I'm really thrilled about that. I will also be patient until the giveaway is done as per the instructions before I send my address for it to be shipped to. I have though sent a PM to offer sending a few bucks to help pay for shipping costs in general for the whole giveaway since it could get a bit expensive for Stickman and UWone to cover all those costs. I'm certainly willing to donate what I can manage to afford to help. It's not a lot but it's more than the cost of shipping a stripped upper receiver I know.

UW, how about changing this 69 page thread's tone? I'ts just continued bashing of other folks. Sure, some of what you've had to put up with has to be frustrating. But the fly by's have taken it to a whole new level.
It's really changed the whole tone and feel of WEVO and is devolving it to the same state as some of the "infamous" AR (f)orums, where bashing is a sport and to be expected. Maybe the fly by's might want to read a little too. Their odds of winning is based entirely on a random number generator. Not how well they bash someone new to forums and Face Book. Also explain to the fly by's that being a sycophant and verbally high fiving others "bashing" doesn't get place them in a special secret society that somehow ensures them a winning number. I'm guilty myself. I couldn't help but laugh at someone posted I'm in directly under your post of how to enter. But I implore you to stop the bullshit from these folks, and respect the tone and above average class of respectful if not professional folks this forum, until recently, has set it apart from others.

Yeah, I get that SJ. it would take the patience of a Saint to deal with what Stickman and UWone77 are dealing with, I was just hoping we could get back to the civility that is deeply embedded in WEVO's "culture".

Folks, this is a massive giveaway and all anyone should really do is say Thank You. Granted, I have been guilty of asking questions that maybe I shouldn't have asked, but, I was new to this forum and only found out about this forum because a friend of mine posted Stick's giveaway info to me. So, I joined the forum, learned about it and read a LOT of the posts here. I'm glad I found this forum. I won something by having become a part of it. I won a place where I can help people and also get advice when I have questions. That to me was far more important than the chance to win a gun part. I also won an extra prize that I never expected - OK fine, but that chance is not why I became a member of this forum.

Hopefully in the future when something like this happens again I will have been here long enough that I can just help. Take some of the burden off those who are are doing so much work for it. I'll have to earn my spurs I know, but, I'll get there.

Hopefully many more people than me will be active in this forum. This is an active forum and that alone makes it a good forum.

Funny thing is that during this give away, I'm going broke liking people.[:D] Just kidding of course, but I found one of the contributing vendors and ended up buying a barrel from them that I had been thinking about for a while. (Mad Dog Weapons Systems). Didn't even know he existed until I went to "like" his Face Book page. Mark owns it, and he seems like a great guy. A couple of regulars here hang out on his forum too. If you're interested in a 6.8 in a 5.56 case that uses a stock AR bolt and magazines, check them out. They also have a store on their forum.

Then I "liked" contributing vendor and new site sponsor Aero Precision, and ended up buying an upper receiver from them, for the new barrel I just bought.

If you guys don't hurry up and win all this stuff, I'm going to have to declare bankruptcy before the Stickman 100K giveaway is over.[:D]

Well crap. I shot myself in the proverbial foot. When this whole thing started (I have followed Stick on FB for many months and saw the giveaway announcement he had), I joined here and systematically liked all the pages in the first post of the giveaway thread a few weeks ago. Since I get notifications from every post Stick makes on FB, I have been adding all the new vendors jumping in later, or at least I thought I was. On a whim, I just went through the entire list after seeing Stick's post on FB saying he was going to systematically list all vendors and discovered I somehow had missed liking 3 along the way. [pop]

Yup, I hear ya! There are vendors in the giveaway that I never would have known about. I am resisting SO hard not buying from them right away, in the faintest glimmer of ridiculous hope that I may actually win something from them! But, I'm jotting down notes and when the prize I want **cough*NEAstock*cough** is given to someone else, I'll be on the phone to them placing an order. Of course I may end up divorced afterwards, or given to Stick and UW for sacrifice by my wife...

Lemme see what's the purchase tally...got a .300 barrel, low pro gas block, gas tube (all 3 QPQ), a sling, a freefloat handguard, a trigger, and some 10 rnd mags for hunting season. I won a pew, pew pew t-shirt and a koozie on some side giveaways. Sounds fair to me. LoL

This is exactly why people are sponsoring Stick's giveaway. Guys like you who buy and support them during the giveaway. I have to admit, I've also made some purchases depending on who is donating.

I'm loving that First Spear and Target Man combo Stick is showing on Facebook right now. Beautiful products. Stick's photos really make this stuff shine! Is there a .308 upper in the mix? I'd love to see some photos of that :P

Aero Precision is just going to drop ship the M5 Receivers to the winners' FFL, so there likely won't be any pictures, unless Aero Provides them to post.

Part of the reason I went with the parts I did on my build was to kick back to the sponsors from the WEVO 50k. I think it's truly awesome they kick in like this, and I want to kick back where I can. I'm even willing in some cases to pay a little bit more knowing the type of people who own some of these businesses. Planning to frequent a few more because of this one. Some truly awesome products out there I wasn't aware of.

How does the price compare to cable? Can you get all the same shows as cable, just a day later? What about live sports? Considering dropping cable myself but would like some input from others who have done it.

If you want, reply via PM to keep thread clean.

getting a Roku box helps alot if you trying to cut down on the bills. I did it before when living in FL. kept internet, ran the roku (3 types of boxes ranging from 70-90 bucks, 1x fee) and paid $8/mo for hulu plus and had almost everything that I would normally watch. ended up saving close to 100/mo after cutting the cable off. I got the mid tier Roku, as the only diff at that time from the top tier box was it (top tier) had games that the remote was used for (like Wii). plus they have channels you've never heard of that you can pay for individually, anywhere from $1-$10 month or year depending. lots of shooting channels, hunting, etc etc. if you are serious about cutting out the cable, it's well worth it in my opinion.

According to the rules of this giveaway winners should be patient until the giveaway is over then send their info to claim their prize. That's my understanding from what is posted.

So, I am simply being patient. I'm thrilled to have won anything at all and it really is something I need.

I'm also curious. I have a feeling that there are going to be unclaimed prizes, then there will be a Christmas giveaway or some such so that those prizes can find good homes.... I may be wrong, have been often enough in my life. That's what I think may happen though.

I figure I won to begin with by finding out that this forum exists. From what I have seen there are a bunch of really good folks here and I'm very pleased to get to know you all and to help when and where I can. I learn more from here also and that is valuable to me. Knowledge is something that is never wasted.

I find it strange, to be honest, that so many people who have taken the time to sign up to the forum and enter the giveaway don't spend any time here at all to comment on posts, ask questions or offer advice. That is what a forum like this is for. I also find it strange that most of the winners haven't paid attention and said a simple 'Thank You'.

I know for sure though that I'll be sticking around. I have some 'pay it forward' to do in the future for one because of the kindness and goodness from others towards me.

Thanks to those who created this forum. It's a great place to be a member of. Giveaways are just a bonus.

Speaking only for myself, with the sheer number of fora available, I tend to bounce around between them and spend more time on the ones dealing with whatever my next project is going to be, whether that be fountain pens, knives, shaving, 1911s, ARs, etc. I'll forget about certain fora entirely while my attention is focused on what I'm doing next. I'm hoping that the influx of new people here will improve the overall traffic on the site, but I still doubt I'll post much. Since I'm currently involved in a new plan to make my wife mad at me (new AR), and especially with SHOT coming up soon, I have been spending more time here than usual, but since I don't really have anything to offer, I haven't been posting aside from a few attempts at being social here in the lounge.

It doesn't surprise me any more when folks don't bother to say "Thank you," for free stuff, but it's always disappointing and pretty gross. Seeing the enthusiasm and positivity of the people actually posting this giveaway is heartening, and it will be awesome if it continues. As someone with a small post count and knowing how I am, it doesn't generally bother me when I see someone with only a few posts. The exceptions would be the people who've registered in the past few weeks who still don't have a single post outside of the giveaway thread. I found WEVO around the time I was building my first AR, and as long as there are companies making new components for me to use in additional builds, I'll be around in some capacity.

It'd be nice if someone did start a pay-it-forward thread, I generally have a few small parts laying around that maybe someone who wins something could use to flesh out their build.

Congrats Liberal_strong. Enjoy that dragon. I like mine. Be nice and give the guy next to you some foam earplugs to assist his ear pro.

Is it really that harsh? I want to pick one up for my next build. I shoot the PRI's mostly now and honestly they don't seem that bad to me, but there again I'm used to a 30.06 with a BOSS on it. Now that's LOUD!

Now that's LOUD!I have a Dragon on my 16" barreled AR. I don't find it to be that harsh. The RA XTC on my 14.5" RUC is way more punishing than the Dragon.

I really like my Dragon and recommend them for those looking for a excellent brake.

I go to an indoor range so it's a bit louder than my other break. Don't have funds to pay or a membership to go to an outdoor range.

Dang, that's rough. My local Izaak Walton league is only $70 a year. Indoor rimfire (24hr, they give you a key card to get in after hours) indoor archery, outdoor archery, rifle out to 200yds, handgun range, skeet/trap, fishing ponds. My other local range is only $25 a year, rifle and handgun out to 100yd. For anything over that we have peacemaker national training center. Shoot out to 1000yds there if you are a member/with a member

Here where we live there are no 'official ranges' other than the small range down at the landfill for the deputies to practice. We have a couple 'unofficial ranges' one of which is next tot he mountains a mile from our home. I go there to practice, sight in a rifle or test a long gun. If I get an old pistol and repair it, that I test in my front yard from about 5 yards to the tall tree stump.

It would be good if we had a good measured range out here in the mountains. However, there wouldn't be enough income from setting one up to even ever recoup the costs for doing so. Anybody can go shoot in the mountains and it's free. So, most people aren't going to pay to use a range out here.

Be careful with that 'liberals' comment. Remember it's all those liberals who want to make sure you register any guns you have so they can come take them away from you whenever the mood hits them to do so.

Hopefully some of us laughed at the irony and sarcasm of what I said. And coming from Cali it feels like we never win anything :(

As for the dragon I'm going to need to start a new build. And when I do get to try, I hope I won't be too much of a bugger to neighboring range shooters. Gahhh thank you everyone and good luck to all!!!

Wasn't trying to diss you Strong. You certainly do have my sympathies living in Ca. I gave away some P-mags a year ago. Couldn't send them to Ca. though. An Air force Master Sargent won one who lived in Ca. Fortunately she had friends in Utah so I could send it there for her.

Enjoy that LanTac Dragon. I know it's hard for you folks in Ca. to win much and winning complete guns are darn near out of the question. It's hard on folks and companies who give away stuff too since people who live in various states have to be banned from winning. Which reminds me. After this massive, awesome, Stickman's giveaway is done. I have a new in the package 30 round P-mag I'll donate to a member donation giveaway.

right on bro with a giveaway. i know you werent trying to poke at me, me neither at anyone else. but damn what a hassle for you to do just to ship some mags into Cali..and yeah most of us who live in CA would love to join those complete rifle or receiver set giveaways. but all these laws make it not worth it. bullet button, registering the what kind of rifle you lower receiver will become. then on side note, losing SSE..sigh. but thanks for understanding man!

I do have a question though...which CMT upper is it that I won?

(The reason I ask is in order to show my appreciation for such a winning I am going to buy a matching lower)

Anyone know which upper it is? On their website they have a few...

Wow, that Parallax rail is sweet. I might have to just go ahead and purchase one. I am thinking about starting a NY compliant AR. I know it sucks here but I have no choice. Its either an AR with a non detachable mag, which I did to my current one ( it was the cheapest and easiest option). Or go with a non feature rifle, ie no adjustable stock, no muzzle device, NO PISTOL GRIP!, no bayo lug. Not sure if its even worth it, but will go ahead anyway. I can make a bench shooter and use the spur grip.
