Description:
Per VolundGearWorks website, this 1.75 width belt is "two layers of type 13 webbing with a thin stripe of HDPE in between that help stiffen the belt slightly while maintaining flexibility." I purchased this Atlas G-hook belt direct from VolundGearWorks roughly one and a half years ago for $50 + shipping and have worn it nearly every single day since.

Excellent review. I have this belt. I absolutely agree that it's well-made and very stiff. Works well as gun belt. As a belt, however, I've found it to be less than optimal for me.

3 month followup, daily use...

I should have bought the small (32 waist, my belts measure 34 1/2 inches). Too much overlap (I don't carry IWB). Trying to pull that many loops through the keeper is awkward and prevents the belt from being tightened down optimally for OWB carry. The loops themselves makes threading some OWB holsters difficult. It's a little awkward to latch. I find I actually have to look at the loop in order to hook it, then I have to slide the whole belt counterclockwise to get the velcro to attach without crossing a belt loop.

Overall, a well-made belt that doesn't suit me optimally. I just ordered another instructor belt.
