Smith and Wesson (http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CustomContentDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=750001&catalogId=750051&content=11001) is releasing a compact version of their popular M&P22 Pistol. I really liked shooting my M&P22 so I will definitely be picking one of these up. I don't think there is a better plinking gun with a suppressor.

100% agree. I have 2 of these with matching 22Sparrows and they are an absolute blast to shoot. Super reliable, very well made ... I'd pick up a compact if I didn't have 2 full-size ones already [:)]

Wish list for the compact ----------- no rail and a factory threaded barrel.

Not sure why there is a rail on a compact 22 LR - laser maybe ?

I wonder just how much better it is over a ruger
