3 of them. One for practice, one constantly mounts a Twisted Industries .22lr converion unit, and the EDC one, which is rarely fired. that way, I never have to worry about the stress and wear or fouling of practice shooting causing any problems with the EDC.
since my carry load is 45 grs at 2200 fps (500 ft lbs, makarov type recoil) my practice loads are wussified, too, 125 gr lrn (my cast ones) at 800 fps. Same level of recoil, and not likely to damage the (admittedly marginal, strength wise) keltec.
I need not care if the practice gun is dirty, malfunctions now and then, or breaks. I can just use the one that normally mounts the .22 unit, until I get the "main" practice gun working again. Since PF9's are just $300 each, this is a perfectly feasible strategy. I do add the mag/frame extention when practicing, and I do use a similar Airsoft and dryfire for a lot of my practice.
I just don't care anymore about the "carbine" type stuff that wastes all the time and money. by that, I mean 10 yds +, more than a couple of targets, more than a couple of hits per target. If you have to actually do all that stuff, with a mere handgun, only luck is going to save you, no matter what gun or load you have, or who you are. If you face such problems, you'ld better have an M4 on the sling, with a suppressor and night sights.
