Are there different size QD sockets?
Should I try to ream this out?
Not sure of the brand the socket is. Need to research. The sling QD is from Blue Force.

It was getting dark and didn't feel like setting everything up so here is a crappy pic. Haha

You have the mount on backwards. One side has a little lip, which goes towards the muzzle end of the rifle. It will grab the next keymod slot and act as a recoil lug.

Oh, and don't worry. Tons of people make this mistake, including me! :)

This thread is actually pretty good. I would have probably done the same thing and had no clue what to do! Thanks for being the test case!! :)

I had an issue with mine. I put it on the correct way but it was still to far forward. I loosened the screws, inserted the QD then tightened it down. No issue after that.

Good to know that trick.

Same here. Brand new NSR and QD mount... stared at it like a chimpanzee trying to figure out calculus for about a half hour before I realized my mistake.

I like the fact that the BCM has an arrow machined into the bottom of it to indicate orientation. In fact, I pretty much prefer the BCM all around after buying both.
