Received these photos today. I got pretty excited and wanted to share them.

I bought this Glock almost two years ago now and I started fiddling with it absentmindedly as first. I guess all that messing around finally added up and it looks like I'm coming close to actually running out of stuff to do with it.

These pictures were taken on Sunday, after some machine work. Now I just have to wait until I get back home so I can send it in for coloring. More pics to be added to this thread.

I also bought a VP9 as a surprise for my wife last week and I'm thinking of sending it in for some scroll work. If you all are interested, I can try to document some of that process.

On with the pics!

Not 100% sure yet. I have to wait until I get back home before I can see what moly colors are available from the guy I go to locally. Thinking a dark FDE or a dark Gray Wolf type color. Also need to get the wife's input on which color she would prefer.

I like slide serrations more and more. The AETi versions the best for me. However, slide work is a lot of $$$. I'd love to see the final product.

So I finally got back home from a long training exercise and I had a few things waiting for me. At this point all slide internal components will be replaced by Zev pieces, with the exception of the extractor which is an APEX. Back plate will be a single metal piece. The trigger assembly is Zev as well. I've also got front and rear sights from 10-8. I'm hoping to be able to get it colored by the end of next week and then its off for some laser etching. The barrel is still stock, simply because I can't find black aftermarket barrles anywhere.

picked up this guy last week and finally got movitaved enough to take pictures. Unfortunately I'm getting attached to it, so I think I'l going to leave it up to my wife as to whether or not she will take the HK or Glock.

ETA: I now understand you simply could've meant you just couldn't find a black barrel in stock.

yup! its hard to find them in stock. Like everybody decided they only wanted threaded barrles.

Got back home and I was pretty excited to do a test fitting. So here are some glamour shots. I'm hoping to get the sights on and then out to the range this weekend.

So I was a little behind schedule with my live fire test but I was able to get out with the wife this weekend.

When I did the final fitting, there seemed to be some friction between the slide and the locking block so I took some fine grit sandpaper and sent over every contact surface on the frame and slide. Lubed it up and took it to the range.

After about 25 rounds, friction was still present so I took apart the gun, removed the lube, lightly sanded and covered the friction area with a sharpie. Ran 50 rounds through the weapon without lube and checked the contact points. Sanded down one more time, lubed up and fired another 50 rounds.

Everything seems to have worked itself out. Very smooth action, and the Zev trigger works very well. Crisp and obvious breaking point.

We ran the g19 against the vp9 and I'm happy that my wife prefers the size of the glock. Reloads on the Vp9 seem easier because of the leaver mag release, and I feel like it is a more accurate pistol.

I think the last thing I will do to the glock is install an aftermarket barrel and hopefully that will take care of the accuracy issues.
