Coated in Tungsten Cerakote and a line of sky blue around the mag well to represent "the thin blue line"

Not pictured (because I've yet to acquire them) is a BCM gunfighter grip, thinking the mod 3, a Geissele SD-C trigger, BAD ambi selectors and more than likely a BCM BCG and ambi BCM CH

Nice SBR - I have to do mine as a pistol build though. I don't want to pay the feds for a $200 tax stamp for it.

Thank! It's just mocked up right now. Gettin close to having her done. I don't blame you my next one will be done as a pistol also.

Looks like it works to me. I like what you did with the color coat too [:)] Go shoot it and give us a range report!

By the way, I hope you put that Sopmod stock back on your wife's rifle or you could have a very angry wife [:D]

Sorry if I missed this somewhere, but will all the NSR rails allow for a suppressor inside?

Haha yes the Bravo was pulled just for pictures! She loves her rifle, or as I call it the Wifle, too much for me to rob parts from it haha

Not sure on the diameter of most suppressors but I don't think they will. Or that is to say I've never seen it done.

.22 suppressors are about the only ones that will fit inside an NSR.

I really like your idea I have a pile of parts in my safe waiting on a Form 1. I bought a suppressor though after the rail so have to find a NSR 9 so I can fit a AAC brake on it.

Looks good, OP. Unique idea putting the thin blue line on a rifle like that (or at least a first for me). I am sure you'll love that Rainier barrel...mine has been very good to me.

What kind of BCG are you going with? A black/melonite one or a NiB for the grey on black color scheme?

I like it, I have a similiar build going on, but waiting for a Noveske 10.5 N4 barrel to come back into stock.

I'm using an 11" Noveske Hybrid Rail
Noveske KX5

Thanks! I'm thinking just a standard BCG from BCM should do me just fine.

That should turn out nicely. Seems like the length on this set up is going to be perfect. When I mocked it all up just to see it felt amazing to hold. I would love to have a Noveske barrel.

I'd like to do this as well. I'm thinking of selling my 6.5 Grendel upper so get can and some other items but I'm torn on the idea. On one hand is love the can and that would bring my rifle calipers to one also due to ammo availability and time I haven't got to shoot the 6.5 much. On the other hand it's the first rifle I built and its a good round and great hunting rifle so I'm reluctant to let it go. The struggle is real.

So Farva, you have a range report?

I'm still waiting for Noveske to send some 10.5 N4 barrels out to their distributors, so I've had time to rethink this similar build I have going on. I'm wondering if it's a good idea to put a KX5 on anything as it's smaller in diameter, just to fit newer Noveske Handguards, but likely less effective than its KX3 brother.

Also a 10.5" on an 11" handguard makes it look like the KX5 sticks out too far. Back to the drawing board.

Sorry for the Noob question, but with 9-11" barrel guns, are the noveske KX's the way to go to avoid all that blast and concussion? Specifically if heavean forbid it had to be used as a HD gun?

I plan on getting a AAC 556SD, but thats months down the road. Just need some opinions on MD's for my 10.5 and 11.5

Oh and BTW Farva, please don't get mad at me, but I'm basically stealing atleast a portion of your build ;)

I did get to put some rounds through it on Christmas Day. Nothing special just a function check and to see if the irons needed adjusting. With the exception of some failure to feeds (due to the crappy G.I. Mag) it was perfect! I didn't even have to adjust my sights. Of course I wasn't putting it on paper just a human silhouette steel target at about 30 yards or so. I fired a few shots with my ear pro and it wasn't bad. It did seem to have a little more ring to my ears than say the KX3 but it's been some time since I've fired the KX3 without ear pro so it's not exactly a scientific experiment. If there is any difference between the KX3 and KX5, as far as sound "reduction" goes or as far as pushing the noise away from the shooter, I would say it's negligible. My initial idea was to have it sit under a 13" rail which should have left .25" of the KX5 sticking out but alas my numbers where off because I didn't account for the threads but if you had enough crush washers you could time it just right for the desired look.

In my opinion if your using a rifle with a KX3 or KX5 in a HD situation it's going to be loud regardless. Mad? Are you kidding??? I'm honored! Please by all means steal steal steal ideas! That's what this forum is all about. Stealing is a negative word... More like borrow lol

But the flaming pig is gonna tame some of the blast and send a lot of the noise foward away from the shooter? Sorry just don't know much about that style of muzzle device. Why are they so popular on SBR's?

And ya our 11.5 basically the same gun as this, except KMR rail and pistol brace instead of SBR. Even the same color :)

Yes sir it will definitely help push a lot of noise and blast forward but by no means will it be quite with like say a suppressor for example but it will be easier on the ears than a break or a flash hider.

Man I really want a KMR. I'm going to get a 11.5" upper and I think I'll put a KMR on that one. I've got a Noveske lower around here that I think will be a pistol as it waits for its paper work.

I've got a 13.5" NSR and love it. My 10" kmr should be here any day. I haven't handled the kmr yet obviously but they look almost identical

If I was you. I wouldn't change a single thing on that build :)

Yeah this build will more than likely stay in this configuration. With the addition to some glass of some sort. I'm looking hard at the Primary Arm red dot that claims 50,000 hours of battery constantly on. I'd love an Aimpoint but just don't have the coin to drop on one.

Good to hear! I can't recall the model number but I am thinking if the PA red dot can last as long as the Aimpoint for a fraction of the cost it's a good start.

No no thank you for such great products! The in line mount will be perfect for my KMR once I get that and those scout light bodies? I'll just forward my paycheck a to you guys for a while lol thanks for the compliments on the photos, these were just using a light and my iPhone. I've yet to bust out the ole 7D yet 😏

As for the MRO I have really only zeroed it at 50 yards and plinked some with it. Not a lot of time behind it to say really but first impressions aren't bad.

Agreed. The mini scout is just about even with the pig. Since I was able to move the light up with the Arisaka mount I swapped the full size scout out because it woulda pushed too far past the piggy.

300 FTW!!

It's looking that way. Once I get around to getting my can and taking the pig off I'll have to go with a shorter rail so the 300 will leave more hand space. Unless I use the KMR and stick it on the 1 o clock slot with an in line mount. Once again more money going to Arisaka [BD]

It's been a while since I updated this so now might be a good time! She now has an 11.5" BCM upper with KMR rail and the AAC Mini 4 of course with an Arisaka in line mount for the scout. No far no iron sights. I might put the daniel defense sights on or maybe some type of flip up sights. I haven't quite decided yet. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171022/80741aefca0ec8edb58fdb081d7afa73.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171022/35f9f792c5f791aef1ad2e4f068cf8a0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171022/f7e070f5d238787798ae7f67b0ef151a.jpg

The MRO continues to do great! It's been on since 9-25-15 on setting 3 or 4 depending on the situation and continues to run strong! She's taken a few falls and dings but still kicks good!

Well the battery in the Trijicon MRO finally died. It’s still technically alive, the dot is fading from bright to dim constantly. Like a light that’s on standby if that makes sense?

Turned on to the setting of 3-5 depending on the situation but no lower than 3 on 9-25-2015 to 11-07-2017

Not bad for one battery. It’s no aimpoint battery but still...
