I am going to buy my first lower this weekend. It's an Anderson Stripped lower. Is there anything about this brand I need to know about or be on the lookout for before I buy it. Thank you. As the title states this is my first build and I do not currently own an AR.

They aren't a "top shelf" brand but I've read and seen them to be of proper fit and finish. The big question is how much are you paying for it? Frequently, sales come across the web and you can get them for <$50. This isn't a lower you want to overpay for.

I have one. I don't see any problems with it at all. I paid $57.50 for it including shipping. My FFL transfer was free (but that's a different story - I generally don't have to pay for any transfers).

I'd buy another one no problem and will likely build a 6.5 Grendel, a 300 blackout and maybe an AR pistol for my wife using the same lower receivers. Anderson also does stand behind their products 100%.

I have one that I bought a few months ago. Finish is nice and even, and I've assembled the lower to assure proper fit. Everything worked out fine. Ymmv

Heard no complaints about them too. Never owned one but for that kind of price range, i'd get the Aero Precision lower. Just my 2c.

You typically get what you pay for in this industry.

I can get it local for $55 before taxes. So under $60.
