I am new here and wanted to share my first AR build with everyone. I apologize for the pictures I am trying to improve my photography skills but am still nowhere close to the awesome photos I see here. I decided to try out the NFA game and by shopping around was able to put this little flamethrower together. The only thing I regret is using the NSR 11 rail because the dealer I bought the engraved lower from conned me into a AAC 762-SDN -6 so I need a shorter rail before that arrives. Also I am running irons till I can set back enough for a Red Dot.

Upper:
10.5 inch 5.56 Noveske SS barrel
Vltor MUR
Noveske Nsr 11
Noveske KX5
Rainier Arms Nickel Boron BCG
Rainier Arms Raptor CH
Daniel Defense fixed BUIS
Surefire X300 Ultra

Lower:
Noveske Gen 1 Chainsaw Lower
Daniel Defense LPK
B-GRF (Geissele Rapid Fire) Trigger
Noveske Ambidextrous Safety
Vltor A5 Buffer tube and #3 buffer
Magpul Miad 1.1 and Str
Vtac padded sling

Also I was unsure whether to put this in this Section or the NFA so please move if I posted in the wrong spot.

Ive got the KX3 on my AR pistol. It really takes the crack out of the shorter barrels. Just got a 14.5" noveske upper and that keymod rail is nice. I really like how slim it is. I used the grip stop by lanco tactical. It's all at the cerakote shop right now. Going tungsten grey with black accents... Scared i wont like it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys it's a flame thrower but I really enjoyed building it I am already scheming my next build. This NFA thing is addicting two months ago I set up a trust and sold my Bushmaster and here I am now one form 1 approved, a pending form 4 for a 762-SDN-6, and researching lowers for a Blackout build. My wife is thankfully understanding and supportive of my addiction as long as overtime pays for it lol.

Had to rebuild my upper so it was compatible with my suppressor. I used a Noveske 10.5 barrel with a pinned Syrac adjustable gas block that I got from ROGTAC and a NSR 9 rail that I was able to find in stock there also. Other than that it is a Noveske marked MUR upper, AXTS nitride bolt carrier group, Mega Arms slide lock charging handle and a Battlecomp 51 t brake.http://i1052.photobucket.com/albums/s450/wmidberry/Mobile%20Uploads/20150724_112608.png_zpswhxadc2e.jpeg (http://s1052.photobucket.com/user/wmidberry/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20150724_112608.png_zpswhxadc2e.jpeg.html)

Thanks guys once I got the gas block adjusted it is awesome. Seems to shoot alot softer than before. I only have 300 rounds through it yet just enough to zero it and make sure it worked. Hopefully I can get some more time behind it thus week. I am shooting it with a AAC-762-sdn-6 and it doesn't really blow back as much gas at me, maybe the gas block with the .30 caliber can? I absolutely love shooting this thing. My neighbor thought it was a .22

Heck of a way to start out your AR addiction. Very nicely done!

I really considered snagging that 10.5/Syrac combo that ROG had on sale recently.

To the guys that have run both the Switchblock and the Syrac units can you shed some light comparing the two?

A crap cell phone picture I took yesterday and an update. I have shot 750 rounds so far all suppressed with the SDN 6 except probably 20 when I was adjusting the gas block. It's a pussy cat shooting the 55 grain fmj 5.56 Federal fmj ammo through it and got the gas block dialed in to lock open on a empty mag suppressed. Rogtac definitely put together a nice combo as I really like the extra 2 inches of handgaurd over the switchblock barrel. I zeroed the buis first on a shoot and see splatter target pretty quickly and the Aimpoint pro next. I haven't shot groups yet just mostly setting up clay pigeons and pop cans out back and I shot a qual at work with it for fun (pretty cheesy course of fire all inside 100 yards ). I am suprised at both the accuracy of the gun and the muzzle blast of the thing with no can. It's front heavy of course but I like it helps me steady the gun offhand. My only gripes are the Surefire needs to mount up a little higher I get a shadow from the can at night and the Aimpoint mount looks cheesy both easy fixes. I am trying to get some match ammo loaded up and hopefully will have some groups soon. Thanks for the advice everyone!

Thanks guys once I got the gas block adjusted it is awesome.

Okay, just re-read through this and actually "saw" the Battlecomp 51-T [bash] was not aware of this little goody! Anyway ... how much adjustment did you need to do on the gas block? On my 14.5" I didn't have to adjust it at all; but have not had a chance to shoot the 8.5" yet.
