That's a really good price for a Keymod handstop Gost!

I think you just made my mind up on which VG I should get for my noveske rail :D

Those Mod 3 picatinny vertical grips would be really nice on a handguard where you had to add a rail section. I may have to get one of those for my BCM with a Geissele Mk4.

Another you may want to consider for a MK4 is the Unity Tactical VFG.

$17.95 won't hurt to bad, I'd get one but I haven't had my Unity Tactical VFG very long.

I've got one coming. Not a big handstop guy, but on short uppers, I'm starting to lean that way.

This is where I am at.
I really like VFGs as hand stops (not so much as a grip but the option is there should I need it).

Where I am conflicting with myself is with this pistol build. I'd like to keep the two as uniform as possible, but a VFG is out on the pistol. So, should I just throw out a VFG on my carbine too?
Blah. Stupid laws.

That's a really nice price point I'd say. There's not really much that's similar to the KAG that's currently out on the market right? I know there's something; don't remember who it was made by.

To me all handstops look like copies of a Glock mag extension, but this is a very well priced option.

I'm picking one up as well along with their new stock. Figured I'd give it a shot. I was leaning to the fortis short grip for my SBR mainly for the looks but figured I'd try this for now. Still might pick up the fortis down the road. I think the KAG plus some railscales will go well together for a lopro package.

Ok - thought it was Fortis; wasn't 100% sure.

Ok so first impressions of the KAG are ok. I haven't shot with it yet but it feels good. I had it on the rail while I was building the gun. So I left it on. No need to take it off. I get everything put together and it's too far forward so I go to loosen it off and nothing doing. Upon inspection I noticed the keymod nut and gas block where pushing on each other . So it was stuck. I had to take the rail off to get off the KAG. So note to you guys don't put it under your gas block haha. The rail is an NSR rail btw.

I got the pic rail and Keymod version last night. I have to admit I wasn't that interested in the KAG until I tried it. It's a preference thing I suppose, but I was impressed by both the feel and the mounting of it.

The new hardware in the KAG is totally idiot proof. On some keymod attach items, you can manage to get the nuts turned the wrong way. But this mounting hardware is ambi, and there's no nuts to spin out of alignment.

Mark, I'd love to hear your thought on the pic version mounted on a modular rail. I plan on getting one for a Geissele rail.

Ditto on the excellent mounting hardware. I like the feel of the Unity better, but this is fine on a pistol.

I have a KAG and KMR rail, just waiting on my VooDoo melonite barrel to show up to finish the rifle. The KAG is very light, appears to be very well made. I won't know about the ergonomics until the rifle is finished, but both the KMR and KAG appear to be quality components.

My buddy left his Noveske with a Geissele rail at my house. But I think his bottom rail is mounted too far forward (for a bipod). I'll check it out tonight when I get home.

Thanks. I'm really curious about the added distance between the handguard and the front-most part of the KAG; whether the rail section ruins the 'flow' of the parts together. The Keymod version looks amazing with the KMR. Too bad I'm trading my KMR. [BD]

Here's a few pictures of mine installed up close. The space between the KAG and NSR panels is just about perfect.

I was looking at the Geissele rail last night, but didn't have anyone around to take a pic, and my phone sucks. What it comes down to is how long of a rail section you have. The KAG would work fine if your rail section is long enough that your whole hand is on the rail/KAG... and not hanging forward of the rail piece.

Looking at the mechanism they use, it may be a bit tricky to mod it. I was expecting it to work like other keymod accessories.

IMO the NSR rails go great with the KAG simply for the fact that you dont have to do any grinding work on the NSR piece and it still looks slim and lopro

I've tried hand-stops and prefer VFGs. This seems like it might be long enough to allow me to use the device for bracing, which is why I still use a VFG. Also, the shape might be smooth enough not to get caught on the edge on dump barrels, which is why a lot of people don't use a VFG.

His rail section is long enough that you could get your hand on the KAG and rail piece completely. But as others mentioned on M4c, the KAG somewhat begs to be positioned back more on the handguard than a stubby. His 15" hand guard has the rail all the way forward for bipod attach. So it really almost means having two bottom rail pieces attached to make it viable.

I got a KAG today. I'm not all that thrilled. It's a well made product, but it's just not what I like. The way it hooks back forward isn't to my liking.

It's an interesting design though. It slides on easily and locks down tight. It uses a torx head screw; I would have preferred a hex head since they're more common.

When you get to running the KMR handguard, you end up with those little torx wrenches everywhere. I just keep them in the handguards of my ARs now.
