Has anyone mounted a Streamlight TLR-2 on a AR-15 platform? I am considering buying the accessories to mount one on my AR but would like to hear from anyone who has actually used this system and any pictures.
Thanks

I use a TLR-1 on one of my ar's, my support hand thumb actuates the switch while using a VFG

I've used one the same way, I think its a great way to have a light that can be used on multiple platforms. it might not be the perfect solution, but its a lot better than not having a light, and it works well.

i also use the TLR-1 and manipulate it with my thumb. i use a weak-side thumb grip with my support hand, so the TLR is on the 9 o`clock rail.

sorry to hijack, but i have a couple of the 1st gen TLRs. has anyone compared the old units to the new ones with the C4 LED emitter?

i want one

I have mounted a TLR-2 under the foregrip of my S&W M&P-15. I do not have a quad rail but I got a mount for the plastic foregrip at Optics Planet for $17, works great. On top I have a Bushnell Holosight and the reticle and red dot are aligned. I love the TLR-2 because it lights up a room and projects the red dot so you don't have to look through a sight. In fact I took the TLR-2 off my Glock 19c but I am getting a second one, I can't live without them now for housework.

I dont think a laser is needed on an AR esp if running a RDS unless its IR. I however do use a TLR-1 on a few AR's and AK's.

The best way to use the TLR-2 in on the bottom of the AR with the remote cord and either a VFG or hook up the remote switch to the handguards.

If you don't mind my asking...where did you get a good price on them?
