Did you buy a Keymod vertical grip or other accessory and then an M-LOK handguard?
Midwest Industries has the solution.

2 Slot price $20.00
3 Slot price $21.50

I'm waiting to see a picture of a picatinny mount accessory mounted to a pic rail section that mounts to one of these KeyMod adapters that is mounted to an MLOK rail. :)

Edited to say, it is good that this is out there though. First ones to market too, should pay off.

I understand why they made picatinny sections for keymod rails, since most owned picatinny accessories. I just thought that the whole idea of both M-LOK and keymod was less bulk. Seems like you would buy a M-LOK mount rather than an adapter, but I guess they wouldn't make it if there wasn't a market for it.

Also is it possible to convert a keymod mount to M-LOK by changing out the keymod backing nut for a M-LOK one?

No. The recoil lugs are a completely different shape and will not work.

Actually with SLR Rifleworks (the rail I chose) I can if I am not mistaken get a rail, one of each, and have one be M-Lok and the other be Keymod. Unscrew two allen head screws and swap rails without ever altering anything. Same barrel nut, same everything.

This attachment might be for those people who say invested a bunch of money into keymod accessories but don't want to go out and re-buy stuff as M-Lok comes online. It's almost like photography equipment... once you buy into one system changing is expensive...

My rail is M-Lok and I will get what accessories I need for that using that system. It's just a matter of making wagers on who will win this thing. I think the manufacturers of this product might also be betting at least to some degree that M-lok eventually will be bigger than them all... (you gotta have an M-lok rail to use this adapter)... but if you have a box full of keymod stuff do you just keep it or no?

It certainly does allow for a bit more versatility... with M-Lok you can have M-lok mounts, picatinny mounts, and now keymod mounts...so knowing that if you were picking a platform what would you get?

The idea here is not to promote stacking, but rather to allow someone who has bought an accessory for their keymod handguard and then switched to M-LOK to be able to still use the accessory.
In this ones case it also allows you to be able to take a keymod accessory which by design is directional and run it the other way. This comes into play with things such as light mounts. If you have a right hand keymod light mount and want to mount it on the left side of a keymod handguard you would have to mount it backwards. in the conversion here you are no longer directional and can now mount accessories either way.

Just a sneak peak at the first M-LOK accessory adapter for your KeyMod handguard.
This will allow you to run a Magpul Industries Corp. RVG or light mount or even an AFG with your keymod handguard without the thickness of a 1913 rail section.
