Description:

The MS1 Padded Sling (http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG545/slings) is an optimized, dedicated two-point sling that serves equally well in a one-point role when using optional adapters. Built around our MS1 slider, this system provides rapid adjustments to either lengthen or shorten the sling with no slipping once set, and no tails, loops, or other potential snag hazards. In a two-point role, the MS1 allows easy shoulder transitions, rapid adjustability for hands free rifle carry and shooting support from various positions. The MS1 system also has a series of adapters that are sold separately and based on the MS3® and MS4™ slings. By adding the appropriate adapter (available with Paraclip™ or QD Sling Swivel) for the sling, you can easily add one-point functionality to your MS1.

In addition, the MS1 Padded Sling features a unique variable-width tubular webbing which completely encloses a closed cell foam pad for extra comfort on long deployments or with heavy weapons. With no exposed padding, extra folds, or grafted together components, the MS1 Padded Sling offers a streamlined and elegant solution with superior durability and aesthetics.

Assembled in the USA with both domestic and European components.

The slider adjustment on the MS1 works really well. I've been using the non padded version since they came out and it's great. Worth giving a shot if you're in the market.

Which do you have?

I've been rocking the MS3 for a while - my only wish was that it had some padding. Guess my wish came true haha.

I'll probably fondle one at shot just to see how much thicker they are, but I find the webbing magpul used on the non-padded MS1 to be pretty comfortable, even while lugging my 18" AR which weighs a good 12-13 lbs.

Has anyone used a convertible setup like gost posted the link to? I always find that if I set the length optimally for 2 point use, it's waaaaay too long when converted to single point, even with a quick adjust style sling.

I'm using a padded VCAS with burnsed socket and I can completely cinch it up for one point. Mine is not one with the sewn in sockets though.
