optic, and think, HOLY SHIT! This thing is so lightweight and maneuverable. I could totally just run irons....

LMAO

I think every time I pull my optics, I do that. Especially when I ran my Aimpoint with the stock mount AND a VX3 with an ADM swing mount. Friggin heavy ass setup.

*Obligatory nekkit picture of the current rifle in question.*

I will run LMT fixed or DD fixed sights, otherwise, I love my optics.

Just saying, a rifle that you are always around, when you pull the optic, it's like a whole new rifle.

Yea but then I snap out of it when I see that Zeiss all alone and just waiting to spy things at 200yds just before dusk.

With as far back as optics are usually mounted the weight doesn't bother me. I love my optics, I often will take off my BUIS's and just run a RDS.

Nothing about that rifle looks lightweight. Very sexy.

My only rifle without an optic has DD fixed sights. I'm keeping it that way. Even with a gov't profile barrel and a 12" C4 is feels really light.

When, just for grins, I mounted a long range scope on my 14.5" ELW-F it felt like a hippo in a canoe.

My irons-only is an LMT 16" FSB w/DD Lite rail and rear sight. Minimalist gorgeousity.

Thank you for the compliment guys. It's a GAP-10 in 308 with a 22" barrel. It killed me having to sell it... I still miss that gun the most. Loaded out as is though it was 18.5lbs, but having no recoil when tracking long shots... priceless, lol. The USO even had the internal bubble level and the sunshade on the end is an ARD. Here's another shot when it was running an ST-10 that makes for better wall paper.

That's a fantastic shot.

18.5lbs? My back hurts just thinking about that.

Yeah... humping it around during comps was not as enjoyable, but I had a GS2 from Eberlestock which made it easier. The weight is nice though when trying to build stable platforms.

I take the bipod, suppressor, and TA11 ACOG off my 16" midlength AR occasionally and it feels like an SBR going from 23 inch "barrel" length and 2.5lbs less in weight.

The 18" SPR I want to build will weigh 12-14lbs all decked out, I imagine

I'm gonna weigh my SPR with a loaded 20rd mag because now you have me wondering lol...
