When you say build, do you mean building everything, or just building the lower?

Availability is scarce in a lot of places, but lowers are around if you look, especially the billet ones that tend to run a little more money.

Without knowing your plans for the weapon, and a general idea of what you are looking to do (barrel length and most likely uses), its a hard guess in a making a recommendation.

Give us a little more info, and we can probably point you in a good direction.

The only cheap billet lowers are the Sun Devil / AZArmory ones - great lowers, I have one, only complaint is the 6061 Al - would rather have 7075, but that's more of a chairborne concern than anything else.

That said, Jeff Covino at AZA can put together a really nice lower at a low price, that's the route I went for my long range rig.
Coleman Taylor carries the SunDevil line - but availability on all lowers is going to be scarce through the calendar year's end.

Thanks my brothers.

I purchased a POF Lower today, with Timney Trigger from a local shop, and found a 18" upper as well. It all was a pretty good deal. The lower was the owners and I am a pretty good customer, he cut me some slack after a bit of barter.

Thanks you all.

You can't give us that little amount of info, and expect us not to ask about the rest......

Which 18" barrel?

Flattop upper?

What stock did you go with?

Are you going with an optic?

Have you thought about a rail?

Sorry Bud.

It came as stock from POF. 18" Heavy contour, Fluted
4150 Mil-B-1159F Vanadium Alloy, chromed lining, Polygonal Rifled, FMC-A3 muzzle Device, Flat top, Vltor Modstock, I have an Eotech 512.A65 mounted on a A.R.M.S. #63, which i will use on it as well as a Leopold Mark 4 4.5-14x50 LR/T which I also use on my Remington 700 that has some A.R.M.S. #22 mounts for picatinny rails.

I would like to magnify the Eotech, but do not know the in's and out's of those scopes.

Wow... I'm glad Stick asked about the rest, that sounds like it would be awesome built (hint, pictures)!

As far as magnifying the EOTech, Aimpoint and L3 both have nice looking magnifiers, as far as mounts the Samson and LaRue are the nicest (the latter being the nice FTS mounts for $150 new).

I've also seen some use the airsoft knockoff magnifiers (no reticles for knock loose) for range only use - those units are mediocre in finish/look/optical quality, and the purge on them is iffy, but they are effective.

The Aimpoint 3xMag with LaRue FTS mount is arguably the most flexible, and worth looking into as a starting point.

I've never seen that bipod before, but the rest of it looks real good.

I thought I would give it a try. Dual purpose, vertical forearm grip, bi-pod. The only thing that I do not like, it tends to release into the bi-pod mode a little too easy. It is very stable, and has a 4 or 5 degree tilt to it.
