Here's a new product announcement from Geissele Automatics (http://geissele.com/). The first of many to come.

New Product announcement - Reaction Block

The Geissele (http://geissele.com/)Reaction Block is designed to aid in the assembly of lower receivers. Once the armorer has installed the buffer tube onto the lower; the buffer tube and lower receiver assembly can be slid into the Reaction Block at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. This allows the armorer to rotate the lower in 90 degree increments in the block simply by loosening the provided nylon screws, removing the lower, and sliding it back in at the desired orientation. The Reaction Block provides an ultra-stable platform for performing an array of lower receiver operations, as well as making the installation of the buffer retainer nut quick and easy. All while keeping both hands of the armorer free to work, saving both time and frustration.

MSRP: $99

lol…go for the Geissele G2S. $165 well spent! Or just go for the SSA, which i think is still on sale at Primary Arms for less than $180.

Or maybe go way basic entry level Geissele… http://geissele.com/roll-pin-tool.html :P

It's cool no doubt, but pricey i'm sure. I'm still in love with my Magpul BEV block to notice this at the moment… when my tool kit needs it tho i'm sure it'll be coming home ;)

That's what I like to hear. I hope there is one that's slightly thinner in either 10.5" or 10.75".

All part of their evil plan to trick me in to spending all of my money!

I've got a 12.5" barrel i need to cover, so maybe even an 11" or 11.5" so i can cover most of the barrel and still mount my AAC can to a 51T Blackout.

I've been contemplating on getting a 12.5" for an 11" CMR

If you beat me to this project on covering a 12.5" I'd love to see pics.

Hmm I just don't see the advantage of this vs a standard mag well block. I guess if you are torquing on poly lower you reduce the risk of snapping them. I think the reaction rod is amazing and I have used mine daily, but this seems like a solution in search of a problem.

11" CMR is on my short list for this project. I'm going to wait and see what's new after SHOT before i commit to anything now. I'll be sure and post pics one way or another.

This product probably won't serve me well also, but I don't assemble rifles very often. But when I do usually drink Dos Equis.
