The Ergonomic Modular Rail V2 supports direct attach accessories that utilize the Magpul M-Lok system. The EMR features M-Lok slots at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 o’clock positions so the user can customize their weapon platform to suit their needs. The EMR V2 M-LOK also features two integrated anti-rotational QD slots at the base of the rail at the 2 and 10 o’clock positions.

The V2 differs from the V1 rail with the addition of a machined M1913 Picatinny rail section at the muzzle end of the rail at the 12 o’clock position. The machined M1913 section is perfect for attaching front sights, lasers, IR illuminators, lights and any other optic or sling related M1913 compatible accessory.

I like the profile and the price is pretty entising.

Nothing really grabbed me with the original ALG rail, but this one seems to address most, if not all, of the short comings of the original. The pic rail for the front sight was a no-brainer in my opinion, it really needed to be done. The 45° QD and M-lok slots are also a really good idea. I'm still not a big fan of really round handguards, but I may need to try one of these, especially for the price.

Nice scout mount in the second pic. :)

I see one of these v2s in my future. I'd like it even more with a full top rail.

I really wish they would have extended the top rail by about 2", in a profile much like the front, but it's not a deal breaker by any means. I really like this rail.

I feel the same way, guess I'm not used to not having a full top rail yet.

Still not really my cup of tea, but much improved over the original. And the price is right.

I hope they'll do it in an 8", too.

I'm trying to decide on a handguard for my next build, and I'm seriously considering this one. 15" Gray .

It seems to be the best of several worlds, especially for those that don't want a full top rail

Price is appealing

I talked to them last month, and expected to ship in amid April, so I bought a V1. Looks like I'm getting a V2 now, and putting the v1 on my carbine. For me the pace is right, and has everything I need, nothing I don't.

The added sloping portion at the top rear is a nice aesthetic improvement.

I was in the same school of thought about completely round handguards but my opinions are changing. Now if I had a completely round tube with no rail whatsoever I could think of a perfect place for it.

Of the three or four rifle builds that I have in mind, one would be a 3 gun type setup where I ran a 1-4 or 1-6x with a 45 degree offset dot. A round handguard would be perfect for that.

I am still refining what I have now and figuring out what to build next but it's on the list.

If I ever go back to working a 'real job' (a whole different story there) all these builds will be Q'ed up. In a way not being able to just blow money on stuff forces me to think through things, which in the end is a good thing.
