Just picked up a new friend.

Came in a really nice case. This is the first gun case I would actually use.

Cleaning is going to be a pain due to the reverse plug. I think I have an idea o make it easier though.

She needs new grips. Not a fan of the smooth ones.

And finally, here she is with her kuya. Both are made by Armscor (Philippines). I am hoping to get her to the range this week, maybe tomorrow and do a review. I've been really interested in these "cheap" 1911s. The Citadel has been a great shooter. Looking forward to see what its little sister the RIA GI Compact can do. I do plan on a few upgrades like ditching the GI Sites. I would have got the model with the better sights but stupid CA Drop list. Its not on the "safe handgun" list (extortion list by the CA DOJ)

Nice!!..Due to crappy circumstances i just sold a new unfired 9mm tac model Rock, and for what i paid for it, it looked and was fitted fairly well, and better then a few other slightly more priced 1911's

Thats one thing that struck me about them. They seemed very well built. Built like they should be much more expensive.

Looks great!

Years ago, that's all I ever carried, a 1911. I had a stainless Officers model that I carried inside my boot while riding my motorcycle. Just got it back from the 'smith for a trigger job. I heard something hit the side of my bike, with a big bang, and instinctively I looked down and back. There was my sweet little compact doing cartwheels at about 70 mph down the road.[:D]

I've must have had at least 20 over the years, although not all at once. I'd trade this for that, etc. About 2 years ago I sold my Ed Brown, because it was just gathering dust in the safe. Now, I'm down to one. A Colt Delta Elite that got the full Wilson Combat treatment. I can't sell that one, it was a gift from my kids.

I'm mostly carrying M&P's now, or occasionally a Glock, but I still haven't lost my love for 1911's. Maybe if the right deal comes along...[:D]

There is something about the feel of a 1911. One day I'll convince the wife its a good idea to spend $3k on a Wilson Combat.

Looks like you have the same Citadel I have. Mine is also a great shooter. I keep looking for a god price on a Compact model. One day I will find one. Let us know how that RIA shoots.

Unless your wife is a super 1911 enthusiast, or easy with the check book, good luck with that....[:)]
