Pretty much everything on this thing came directly from Rainier. Hopefully this will be one of many :P yeah, I'm hooked. And w/the new Rainier custom uppers.... I'm already contemplating build #2. (jerks)

Nice. I think I spy a troy BUIS? All kinds of Magpul happiness going on there. Let us know how it shoots.

Yes you do :)

I'll know how it shoots later this week.

Speaking of, is there a "proper" break in procedure for a barrel? I thought I read somewhere about breaking in your barrel properly? Am I nuts? [crazy]

I've been shooting for years and never done more than clean/oil my gun properly before shooting it the first time.

don't need to break in a CL bore. shoot away.

Shoot. Clean it when done. Repeat.

As far as lube on it - make sure you get the bolt, lugs, tail, as well as the friction surfaces on the bolt carrier and charging handle. Otherwise, no different that ordinary cleaning/oiling of other weapons.

Thank you.

Finally shot it over the holiday. AMAZING weapon. Love it. First time out and it ran flawless.

EOTech 553 in FDE is waiting on stand by (christmas gift) so that'll be going on there soon.

Stupid question about the eotech... since you can cowitness.. is zeroing in the optic as simple as lining it up w/your irons??

Looks like a Noveske Upper. They've been sending out the MURs at no extra charge. You scored on that one!

Stupid question about the eotech... since you can cowitness.. is zeroing in the optic as simple as lining it up w/your irons?? That will get you really close. Then, just a bit of fine tuning to dial in the optic.

Regarding the Smith Vortex - http://www.weaponevolution.com/forum/showthread.php?t=524

It says its suppressor capable? I honestly don't know which version of the Vortex is on my gun..

http://www.smithenterprise.com/products11.html <-- will the 5.56 version of that work w/my set-up?
