The Vertical Grip is a robust, minimal foregrip for KeyMod, M-Lok, and CMR handguards. It features a radiused profile at the top which tapers to meet the mounting surface on the handguard, giving a low-profile feel and ergonomic comfort. Twin mounting screws ensure secure attachment. The grip is hollow, with no end-cap. The Vertical Grip is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum and type III hard coat anodized. It weighs 1.8 oz, is 2.5" in height, and 1.3" in diameter.

I keep wondering if I can make the M-lok version work with the SMR Mk4. I think I could take the screws and nuts off and replace them with the Magpul MOE rail hardware (what I used to mount the MOE rail section).

Really think I'm going to have to give it a try.

It should work, but without any material touching the sides of the MK4's bottom rib there may be some shifting. But you won't know till you try, so go buy one.[:D]

I'll send you one to try out, if you'd like. I've had multiple people ask me about it, and I would also like to know.

If it doesn't work with the MK4, the VFG for the CMR with a 5/8" groove on top would probably work for both the MK4 and KAC URX 3. 5/8" is what I had to make the groove on my Unity Tactical VFG.

I don't think it will work but if you measure the openings in your rail (width wise) I can tell you the dimensions of M-lok t nuts. That way you will know for sure.

I know the Magpul MOE nuts work inside the Mk4 (I'm using them now to mount an MOE rail section). If you turn them so they run lengthwise down the center channel on the bottom they are just slight smaller than the channel. Width-wise, the M-lok nuts are just slightly smaller than the Mk4's holes.

The part I'm really wondering about is the spacing between the two bolts, and how the parts that stick up around the holes will work with the Mk4's holes.

looks like someones first foray into CNC machine programming. I mean, I know there's more to it than that, but its pretty damn basic.

That's the point, pretty much. Let's face it, there are a ton of vertical grips out there. We aren't trying to do anything revolutionary with this specific product. Walt and I wanted to make something that wasn't excessively chopped up, has a solid 2 screw connection, is fairly light, and priced well. I can't tell you how many designs we went through, but we decided to stick to something aesthetically minimal, as you can see.

We appreciate the feedback. Maybe we should do something more aggressive in the future.

Less is more. Far too many companies/products out there trying to reinvent the wheel. They wind up with a product that looks way too busy, is overly complex, and hasn't really improved on anything.

For me, i'm wondering how the groove size/spacing on this VFG will feel to my giant sausage fingers...
