View Full Version : Better trigger optons for Savage 10FP-SR with AccuTrigger?

Hi guys

I have a 10FP-SR in 308 with upgraded stock, bolt handle and SpecWar brake, otherwise stock.

I am not really liking my 2lb 4oz accutrigger.

this is not hunting rifle and will only be used for bench rest target shooting.

Is there better options for trigger with lighter pull and crisper break?

Thank you!

I put a timney 40x adjustable trigger in my 700 SPS. Not sure if they make them for savage, but am very happy with it. Is the one you got adjustable?

Sharp looking gun, what stock do you have on it?

Looks like the same Bell & Carlson stock I just picked up.

OP, I've heard you can modify the factory Accutrigger using their target trigger components to lower the pull weight substantially. (That's what I'm considering for my new Savage build.) Would that work?

I'll look for the links that described the mod.

Here's the trigger component I mentioned:

The Evo is insanely good but must be installed by SSS. And they insist on timing the action before install for another few hundred bucks. I have the competition on a few other guns and for the money there is no better Savage trigger.

What stock? I've got a model 12 and I tuned the trigger all the way down. For me, it seems very light and crisp, but I don't have a trigger gauge.

Stock is B&C Target Medalist A2. I Like it, but I kind of want to try A5.

this is where I bought it.
