Mystic Black Bolt Carrier Group Coating

Mystic Black is the hardest, most wear resistant and smoothest bolt carrier group coating available. Created from a highly advance Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) technology that produces a flexible pure form of amorphous carbon, consisting of sp3 bonded carbon atoms. Having the surface characteristic of both lipophilic and hydrophobic makes it non wettable with water but easily wet with oil; a characteristic found in few bolt carrier group coatings. This technology produces excellent tribological properties that make it very suitable in environments with extreme contact pressure and sliding actions. When you choose Mystic Black, you are choosing the lowest coefficient of friction coating on the market today requiring minimal to no lubrication. In addition, Mystic Black is a chemically inert coating that reduces carbon build-up. This top-of-the-line bolt carrier group coating will enhance performance and precision due to a much smoother sliding action while also displaying a sleek external appearance.

Properties:
•Coefficient of Friction: 0.01
•Hardness: 3000 Vickers
•Max Temperature: 1,100° F
•Thickness: 2-3 microns
•Color: High Luster Black

Advantages:
•Increased Lubricity
•Wear Resistant
•Smoother Recoil
•Improved Consistency
•Faster Cyclic Rate
•Easier Cleaning
•Reduced Carbon Fouling

And if that's not blinged out enough for you there's more.

These are made by Toolcraft and are not cheap. But everyone knows being pretty ain't cheap. Reviews say these are the easiest to on the market to clean, I'm still a fan of the old school phosphate BCG.

You haven't used the drop down menu on the choices yet, the price goes up as you make your selections. The Mystic coated ones are around $275, the Titanium are around $435.

That seems SUPER expensive for a TiN coating. Unless you mean the actual BCG is titanium?

I've had my eyes on these for a while. Planning on one of the black ones for my current ridiculously overpriced and extravagant but not necessarily better than regular parts build. They've had pretty favorable reviews and Tool Craft is supposed to make good stuff.

They do look good but another one of those niche markets that I'm not In.

Thanks but that thing looks too slick. Once I put some Slip2000 on it, I wouldn't be able keep hold of it and get it back in the upper.
