A bit pessimistic? If your an anime fan you better hope it doesn't suck if you want to see more anime made into live action. I'm hoping that Ghost in the Shell will at least be incredible eye candy.

I know I have a ton plus what I watch through and web sites.... then there I'd always carton network plays a bunch on toonami and adult swim

Ahh love it. Sad that sword art online is over. Attack on Titan was great hope they continue that. I'm a sucker for gundam, I'm glad with the new build series they found a way to completely reinvent it and still keep the action. Netflix has some great ones. I need to watch the new ghost in the shell series they have up. Some of the fan service is getting out of hand in anime though. Take a great story with potential (high school of the dead) and damn near ruin it with barely clothed ani,ated teens and it feels creepy to enjoy the show :(

For as long as I've been in the entertainment industry, there's been rumors of Warner Bros. doing a live action Akira. But the technology allows a lot more than 10 or 15 years ago would have.

The bigger problem with that project, will be convincing Warner Bros. to allow it to be as dark as it needs to be. It almost needs to be sold to them as a horror movie, rather than an action movie.

Also, I hate to admit it, but the new Sailor Moon series is pretty good. I've been watching it with my little ones (they watch it in Japanese) and it is a far better series than the original.
