So does anyone do business with these guys, know them, do they frequent any forums? The reason I ask is although I was interested in some of their products and even went to the point placing some orders with them I seem to be having a bit of a customer service problem with them. This may be a misunderstanding or mix up, or whatever and I want to give all the chance I can before I put anything out negative but at this time I haven't had any response from a couple of different means of communication from them or from another company that seems to be affiliated with them. Is this typical of them and don't worry, are they just that busy or what?

Joe looked out for me when I had that GB issue. Only time I've dealt but no issues in anyway.

Well I've had an order for some gas blocks from them directly that on the 24th I got a tracking number and it said label printed which was great, but it's been in that same status ever since. I know how things can fall through the cracks, and I also know of our gem of a postal service so I just wanted to touch base about it. Then I placed an order for a 15'' carbon fiber rail sold through Houlding Precision around the same time, after the order was confirmed and then payment made I got an from Houlding saying it accidently went backorder, the email was from Parallax shipping dept. so I assume they are making these rails for them, which in my humble opinion are some bad ass rails that they use on their Wraith light weight rifle. I also noticed these companys are very close and now see Houlding says that they are moving. It wouldn't bother me really but these items were purchased on my wife's credit card because she wanted to get them for me and make a Valentine present out of it. So now I get heat from her with charges and no shipments.

Just got a hold of Joe at Parallax. He said this was your tracking:
ETA: I'll PM it to you, if you need it.
Also he doesn't make anything for Houlding, so he doesn't know what to tell you as far as Houlding Carbon Fiber Rails.

Sorry, no package. I live in Georgia, this is why I thought the tracking number I got seemed a little strange when the label got printed quickly then the status never changed.

Going to have to eat my words.
Apparently I've been looking at the wrong order.
S/R just came in and told me your order is on backorder. They said they contacted you 1/28 and informed on the status. We're just waiting for them to come back from melonite. Should be this week or early next and we'll get it out ASAP. My apologies.
Should also clarify the shipping software sends the tracking # as soon as we generate a label, doesn't necessarily mean it shipped. Will see about fixing that in the software.

Ok, this was confusing as hell but I went back through all emails and figured out why I thought Parallax was suppling Houlding. Get ready this will make your head hurt, Parallax sent me a shipping confirmation on the 24th, I purchased from Houlding on the 28th, 3 minutes after I got my conformation from Houlding I got a sorry but this is backordered and more have been ordered with the Parallax shipping at the bottom. This Was actually an email from Parallax saying my 2 gas blocks had went backordered. The only way I caught it was I noticed the order numbers were different. It didn't have the usual Parallax header and both places are in Cali, I also wasn't looking for a backorder after a shipping conformation.

No sir the apologies are mine, I bet I've looked at those emails 3 or 4 times this week and never caught it. What are the chances of your backorder email coming 3 min. after another order, Ha.

Exactly, most of the time UPS either loses it or if it has a known firearms manu. label someone there steals it and USPS is, well you never know with USPS either. I thought I was really on a roll this week, I also spent all weekend working on a deal for a lower that a guy had massively over priced but agreed to a much lower price only to text me Sunday night at 11:39 after we had worked out all details and I was to contact my FFL first thing, to say the lower had been sold at full price, sorry. This was a complete lower I had watched sit on Gunbroker for several months. Magically sold my ass!

Good to see they are looking out for you. Joe and the guys down at Parallax are good guys. He has drained my wallet on a few occasions. Build the upper on this rifle for me. They also fixed my Saiga when I screwed up the bullet guide install and threaded the barrel.

Little late to the party, but I've had good experience with them thus far. Order was processed and shipped promptly. Plus Joe was pretty good on email communications, usually responding within 24 hours.
And I will say, anyone who isn't following them on Facebook ... you're missing some killer deals on their blem FFSSR rails ...

I have had the issue of the shipping label being printed and the tracking number sent to me, when the product did not actually ship until weeks later. USPS will typically say no information found until it is scanned in by the "origin facility".

I've never had anything but a good shopping experience with PXT. I have had many bad experiences with USPS though. Lost packages, late packages, you name it, it happens. No wonder the post office is broke. If they were a business, it would have folded decades ago.

It's interesting that everyone knocks the post office. I've found it to be the most reliable shipping option, especially when I lived in a place where my USPS stuff went into a locked mail box but UPS and FEDEX just dropped stuff on the door. Also, paying a ~$7 for shipping and it then arrives 3-4 days later is almost always better than dealing with UPS's fairly standard "5 working day" time frame.

Not around here. I'll pay triple for UPS over USPS. Mailmen wont even attempt a delivery requiring a signature. It's automatic that the attempted delivery card gets thrown in the mailbox. You can be standing in the front yard and they will do that. Always looks like it was routed through a war zone upon arrival too.

I'm very lucky as far as UPS goes. My UPS guy is an older gentleman and a marine. He is avid gun guy and will call me when I have a package to ask if I'm working or not. Then I can let him know whether to leave it at the house or just tell him to bring it home with him. He lives around the corner and makes for gunrunning past the wife so much easier haha..

It makes life so much easier. I always tell her I ordered such and such but she has no idea the value and when how it arrives. I tend to get a look if a box shows up at the house of recent. If she knew just how much money was sitting in my side of the room she'd probably try to divorce me and sells everything I have...

Haha my 9 year old was telling my wife what the barrel and rail were I got from UW the other day. She loves it as much as I do. I got her a mossburg 702 for CHISTmas but haven't had the time for the two of us to sit down and shoot it.
Sidebar: I had some personal issues with the VP9 today at my training. I hope it was just larger side panel. (medium on right and small back and left) I had several instance when I was doing rapid/quick fire I couldn't engage the trigger. Kinda like the more I shot the more my finger crept out of proper position. Never had that happen with my glocks. Going to run all small and if it still happens I may have a VP9 for sale despite how much I love it...
