Don't know how much support this has, but we really need this in MN.

I wouldn't hold my breath. The Minnesota DNR has traditionally had a position against suppressors, their great fear being legions of ninja-poachers roaming the Great North Woods. OTOH, that has not been a major talking point for them over the last few years, so maybe their position has softened. I think this bill has a better-than-even chance of passing both houses....the question is what the DNR is going to tell Governor Dayton when he asks them their position on suppressors when he is deciding whether or not to sign the bill.

Not that a suppressor is in my budget, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Believe me, if suppressors were GTG in your state, you would find the money.

You know Hmac brings up a good point. I never thought about hunting in MN, and poachers. Just on a sensationalized headline, people could form a negative opinion without reading the entire issue. (that never happens right?) I guess people could be scared into thinking silencers were movie quiet and would allow poaching to run rampant. I'm sure you guys have some great hunting out there.

Good Luck, I hope it works out one state at a time...

I'm hopeful this time. Public passion from the antis on the issue seems weak. I wrote my Commissar a respectful letter ( no Dear Comrade,) and coughed up again for the tireless folks at GOCRA. This passes and I may still end my days in MN. Preferably not soon.

Several states have recently approved suppressors for hunting, Florida being the most recent IIRC. it is definitely possible to achieve. Good luck!
