The most sought after AR15 style lower receiver has finally been released as a complete Noveske weapon system. The Magpul lowers have been seen around for awhile, but they were never released as a public offering.

The term complete weapon system has different meanings for different people. The below figures (taken from the Noveske website) are what is listed for the MPL LIGHT RECCE, you can see that its much more than just simply the weapon.

16.1" Cold Hammer Forged Barrel, 1 in 7" twist, 5.56mm

The MPL LIGHT RECCE isn't designed as a basic or upgrade weapon, but rather, its configured to be a "best of the best" straight out of the box. This won't stop people from adjusting the setup to use their favorite sling, or a fixed front sight, but it is still a stand along purchase that provides premium components. An optic and light are items most users will pickup as an extra, but those are entirely personal, and which would make no sense to include them.

Above and beyond the weapon, we see a partnership of two outstanding companies that both lead the way current weapon manufacturing community. The embroidered Magpul and Noveske logo on the Eagle weapons case are shown together for good reason, and a partnership like this is a huge win for the weapon community and consumers.

Below is the link to the Noveske order page. If you are serious about a purchase, I would suggest you act quick. There is a very limited amount of these which are being released. You may also want to pay close attention to the ordering instructions so everything goes smoothly. You will probably notice that there are no substitutions, swaps for different parts, or color changes. I asked John Noveske if this was something where people could make the order, and quietly get parts changed at their factory, and was told no. The weapon is sold as a limited edition package, and any changes will be ones that the user does after they take possession of it.
