80% lowers - recommendations?

Since I should have this 7.62x39 pistol finished very soon (as soon as the tax return gets here), I figured I'd start the next project from an 80% lower receiver just to have done it. Has anybody here milled one out? If so, which receiver did you use? There is a plethora of them out there from polymers to billet. I do have some of the necessary tools and access to what I don't have so, that's not a problem.

I've been looking at those JMT ones. JMT designed and made the ViperJet kits. I kind of figure that since their polymer was strong enough for a jet plane, it's probably strong enough for a lower receiver. The price isn't bad for them either since they come with the jig. I could go with the Milsport forged one and need to find out if they have a jig for it first. Anodizing it at home is easy enough after I've machined it. There are some other companies with forged 80% lower receivers + the jigs... some anodized, some not.

My buddies have also had look luck using 80% Arms Lowers.

For a guy like me that isn't using drill presses on a daily basis, I'd go with the JMT because it does have the jig, and there are some good videos on how to do it.

The new frontier 80 lowers are pretty aesthetically pleasing. They are the lowers the joe bob Spartan set is built on.

I agree the NFA 80's are some of the nicest you can find. Too bad they are nowhere to be found. Been at least 6 months since I have seen any in stock. The billet80's are very nice but a premium on the prices esp. for the 7075 version.

Here is a NFA 80 after completion and coating. A friend of mine has access to a laser engraver so the markings will be going on before assembly. First time I've tried it like that.

I was watching the easy jig videos yesterday. Definitely using a router would be the way to go with it. I'd have to buy a router though. The JMT seems like a more cost effective way to go and I do have access to a decent drill press.

I've done several www.Billet80.co0m lowers.
i am getting ready to do a www.80percentarms.com lower in a few weeks.
Both being billet and no Rollmarks,.
