Hi Guys,

We recently got the long awaited Sig MPX in our hands. At first look I am really impressed with the gun, you can see the engineering influence but also the creativity in making this new platform it's own. It really is like a purpose build AR subgun. Rather than take an existing lower, like the Colt SMG series and adapt it to 9mm, Sig really took some effort and made some steps in the right direction in my opinion.

We all know the subjoin market is not as it once was but the demand overseas and in some gov groups is still there. The MP% platform is still the gold standard but if the Sig runs and shoots to the level of Hype that Sig says it will it should be a worthy competitor.

Being it is a new platform we decided to break our review down to a series of parts allowing us to focus on different areas. The first part is a long video but introduces you to this new platform and provides a look inside as we take it down. We also share our initial observations and what we like, and what we didn't.

In the future parts we will shoot it as it is configured now as a pistol, then shoot it as an SBR, and later add a suppressor. Sig says it will shoot everything and anything so we plan on putting that claim to the test in parts 2 and 3.

Part 2 - Shooting as a Pistol and Ammo function tests.

While we are really looking forward to shooting this with a stock, as a pistol it was still pretty fun. Gun shot great and was reliable with all the various ammo types. Only a couple minor stoppages due to fail to reset which was remedied with some lube to the FCG. The trigger isn't anything to write home about, in the future I am planning on swapping it out but for the review I'm keeping it factory for now. Sig is also being persistent about using its trigger bridge in the FCG but that isn't compatible with most Mil spec type parts. More on that in part 3.

Thanks for watching and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks, Dave
