The Samson Field Survivor (SFS) has been photographed, and is now moving onto its review stage. The idea behind the SFS seems pretty straight forward, and is designed to fill a multipurpose role for field use with the AR15 family of weapons.

The SFS will be tried out by LEO and MIL firearm instructors and armorers, and we will try to get it out for students to review in an upcoming course so their feedback can be included as well.

We will update this review as we get actual hands on use.

My initial impressions in seeing it online were that it was a bit like a Swiss Army knife for an AR15. In actually handling the SFS, the individual components are very solid, and any concerns that I had about longevity appear to be unfounded. Obviously this is just a first impression, and only time will tell how this works out in actual field use.
