As a firm lover of ice cream I was extremely anti-gelato. But my girls made me eat it and it's delicious, especially dark chocolate and salted caramel. Which does your heart desire?

Both, but I went with ice cream since I could only pick one. Best gelato I ever had was lemon with blueberries in it, frickin' magical.

Gelato reminds me of frozen cake batter.

There is no option for both. However since I come from a small town we don't have gelato here that I know of...that tips the scale to ice cream for me.

Weirdo. Lol! :)

So I'm guessing you never ate a whole box of swiss rolls in one sitting?

Had my first Gelato last year -vunderbar! I only buy it on sale as good ice cream is cheaper.

I'm 44 years old and never had to change the weight on my drivers license I got at 16. LMFAO I hate soda too. So you can give me crap for that too. Bunch of diabetics in training.

hahaha touche

I am 40 and I have fluctuated from 190-205 my whole adult life (was 160 when I went into the military quickly hit 190 there).. I am just more active in the warmer months. But I will sit down and eat a whole 1lb bag of powdered doughnuts in one sitting.

When I was a freshman in high school I was 5'2 and 172. Now I'm 5'11 and am about 190.

I can eat a whole pound of M&Ms in one sitting but I did stop drinking soda all together (second time) about 2 years ago...the last time I quit I lasted about 4+ years....then when I moved back to Texas I went on a long Dr Pepper binge...

I will have to say that no soda is the way to go.

I just got a Gelato / Ice Cream maker for my wife for her birthday. We spent about 5 weeks in Italy a few years ago and got used to having very good Gelato. What surprised me since we got the gelato makers is that there really isn't that much difference between gelato and ice cream. I always thought gelato was more like sorbet but it's really just slow churned ice cream made with milk instead of cream (so slightly lower fat content). I think one of the reasons that gelato frequently seem better than ice cream is that it is usually made from fresh and in-season fruits and sold in the storefront where it is actually made. That's the standard in Italy, anyway, and in the better places I've stumbled across in the U.S.

Summer is the only real time I like frozen treats. I know more than a few guys that love a dish of Ice Cream Year round. Having to choose between actual authentic gelato and Ice Cream? I think Ice Cream for me, I like the texture better.
