Have a chance to pick up a Gen 1 G17 for a decent price, I think. It's in mint condition but not sure on the round count. Any ideas on what this thing is worth?

I'm told it has some sort of Austrian markings as well. Supposedly makes it more rare? Might be a line of bs too, idk.

If it has the Austrian proof marks then it is considered worth a little bit more but not much. I'd say with proof marks somewhere around $350-400 as long as the condition is good. It's worth about what Luis said without the markings.

The mark is something like a crown if I'm not mistaken( don't quote me on the actual symbol). Either way the markings do make worth a little more in the eyes of collectors.

Buy it if it has original box, mags, etc.

Lube it and put it in a safe, forget it exists.

When you retire sell it and buy a sports car.

Really??

In 30 or so years a Gen1 mint condition G17 will probably be worth a very pretty penny.

eh, i would say that is doubtful. German Lugers with Nazi proof marks complete with holsters are only worth $2000, maybe $3000 if you're lucky.

I see very little value and future value in a Gen 1 Glock.

On top of it... they are ugly as sin.

I would be surprised if a gen 1 Glock would ever cover a oil change and tune up on a real sports car. LOL

Only time will tell I guess, with all the microstamping, anti-gun none-sense, those gen1's may be relics, but expensive relics.
