Final approval will be needed this Monday, but Under a proposed city regulation, a tax of $25 would be put on every gun sold in Seattle, with a tax of 5 cents for every round of ammunition.

Yikes. Washington, please don't become the next California out there on the West Coast. NY, NJ, MD, MA, etc are already bad enough here

That sucks. I seriously wish these liberal punks would get put in their place.

Meanwhile in Texas...

"The Texas Senate voted Thursday to create a tax free weekend for guns and hunting supplies. On the weekend before hunting season begins in September, Texans would be able to buy scopes, ammunition and firearms without having to pay sales tax on the item."

Washington is getting lower and lower on the list of potential retire to places. Even tho this is only covering Seattle - who knows how long till it spreads.

I hate to compare ammo to tobacco, but it's the mainstream trying to take advantage of what some consider a sin. In TN the Sin tax on tobacco has been raised recently and some shops here try to charge the ammo tax on reloading supplies. These taxes are the popular trend.

Yeah, this whole mess isn't real popular with gun folks here.

Taxing a constitutional right. Hmmm, I see them losing a lawsuit in a major way. That's up there with a poll tax.
