I'm traveling in the northwest and have a couple days to burn up in Tacoma. Was wondering if anyone had suggestions on what to do, what to see, and where good local eatin can be found. Thanks

Well I'm not local to the area but I'd say a trip to Rainier Arms is a must....

Good eats in T-Town in no particular order:

1. MSM Deli (Awesome Sandwiches) 2220 6th Ave, Tacoma, WA 98403
2. Harmon Brewery 1938 Pacific Ave, Tacoma, WA 98402
3. The Spar 2121 N 30th St, Tacoma, WA 98403
4. Katie Downs 3211 Ruston Way, Tacoma, WA 98402
5. Lobster Shop (Best Sunday Brunch) 4015 Ruston Way, Tacoma, WA 98402

Those are just some of my personal favorites.

Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens National Parks are always good options as well. Lots of fun trails and good views.

Silver Cloud Inn? Hopefully the drunks on the dock don't keep you up all night.

I like me some Cloverleaf Pizza (http://cloverleafpizza.com/) and The Hub (http://www.harmonbrewingco.com/the-hub/) too. Memos (Mexican food) at 6th and Sprague Ave is a bit of a dive, but great for to go orders to eat in the park or on the waterfront.
