Feels good, balanced, and a return to super easy tear down and cleaning is a HUGE driving factor for me. I have no m-lok stuff, and don't need any on this, but I may get an adapter to picatinny so I can use my Atlas stock on it occasionally.

no worries. And I can say this thing is pretty cool, and very tight. It took a few minutes to swap the barrel channel to the bull profile, and it fits snug. VERY snug.I also like that I can put some of the upgrades back on like the longer mag release that I had to take off for the bullpup. I have yet to try the length of pull changes, or even see if the higher cheek weld would be a benefit to get. But I see some dead ptarmigan in the very near future...

On another note my bipod got here and I am LOVING IT. ATLAS is the stuff! The minute I laid my hands on it I was converted.

Normally I don't really like QD mounts but that one on there, I am very impressed with it.

Fresh out of the box. Swapped 1.5x ACOG for this 3x Elcan. Shorter than my 3x ACOG pictured, but 5oz heavier and glass not as clear. Rubber knob bumpers added on mounted pic. Very nice illuminated reticle.

Well, if it means anything, I did not even hesitate at the cost on this one. This is my second one, for the Umbrella SBR, and for anything I put a suppressor on, it will get one of these. I balked at the cost when I first looked at them for my 300BLK sbr, and ran the standard spring/buffer. SPROING SPROING SPROING was all I heard shooting suppressed subsonics. But I still balked... I ordered a different buffer spring, because they claimed and swore it would stop the spring twang.Yeah, it didn't. So I choked down the pride, ordered the JP, installed it and shot it. And it was GLORIOUSLY quiet. No twang, no sproing... just (quiet silence). So far it has been perfect on the 300BLK, and the 5.56 as well as the 458Socom uppers I have.

If it gets a suppressor, it gets a JP is now my motto. (not that I'm a fanboi tho! [BD])

Best price I've seen is $950. I hope to shoot in the next two weeks. So far I like the evrything about the TA33 3x Acog better except for the CQB friendly reticle of the Elcan. I expected clearer glass. Still, I'm happy as I didn't care for the one I traded.

Crosshairs and diagonal "bullet" noses illuminate.

Always wondered if I should trade my 3.5x35 (TA11J) ACOG for a 3x/TA33 model, although I love the eye relief on the TA11 more than the 4x32/TA31 I've used. I like the look of the smaller ones and it's not like I'd be losing a lot of magnification, just half the weight. Just a matter of finding one the same age and condition for an even swap. The TA33C .223 is sweet

So not MY mail call..lol..but a friend in my neighborhood stopped by with some parts for his buddy..There both new to the AR since they started hanging around me..[BD]

Anyways Rugers new 452 Trigger setup..Kind of different strait out of the box, includes a block that holds the trigger,safety and grip, so you can play with it..lol..Anyways..it says advertised weight is 4.5 pounds and it feels pretty good..I believe he said $150 bux..He didnt listen to any of my suggestions and bought all kinds of other stuff..Oh well..i'll get to shoot this trigger as im curious how it is. Seems like a long first stage and then breaks like glass.

Kinda pissed to see that MIAD's jacked. I picked it up and the backstrap slid out of place. On closer inspection, the core isn't engaging the lock thingy. Not sure if there's a warranty, but I'm sold on the less expensive one piece TD grip, so off it comes.

Nice looking Upper.... something weird about the KMR with the Gen III though. It's almost like the Noveske's are made for NSR's... but then again, I think I only have like 1 NSR installed so what do I know. [BD]

Typical Rainier Arms quality, well machined, and nice anodizing. Personally i find the aesthetics a bit questionable, as it's a standard forging that's had the FA nub milled flat. But it's 100% functional, fits and matches the lower well, and saved me $20 by not having to purchase a forward assist that wouldn't see much (if any) use. I have a bunch of their triggers and love the single stage ones. For the MONEY I don't think there is a better single stage you can buy. But both the 2/2 and 3/1 2 stage triggers are a dissapointment. Inconsistent resets and a odd almost 3rd stage feel right before it breaks turned me off. Had some issues with the 2 stage and surplus .308 ammo and hard primers also. Blamed the ammo until I ran some with one of the single stage triggers with 0 issues.

For the money I'll take a SSA-E every time over their 2 stage triggers.

Neither of my builds have a forward assist. (CMT UPUR4 and a new one with a UPUR3) I haven't missed the FA one bit.

Right now I am tapped out on builds though. I just dropped a bunch on this latest one.

Rainier was definitely in the running to do a 'cheaper' (as in monetarily, not quality) build that I could have as a 'truck gun'...

Well, they certainly look a lot more badass sitting there a loaded up!

I can't tell any difference, but they (and the heavy plated ones) are easier to load by taking less flaring prior to seating. Performance-wise I see no real difference. Even using the same powder load.

Not sharing (this time). Even though the EOTech refund has not arrived, I could not pass up the holiday sales. These are replacements for three of the EOTechs. The XPS22-RF will be replaced with a Simmons cross-hair out of inventory. It was on a Ruger Take-Down.

Now I'm thinking - better be a check and not a gift card!!

My assumption is that they will be issuing checks - cost of tender on gift cards would just add to their financial burden on this. But, we'll see.

Thanks! This one is actually a 229 Legion, chambered in 9mm. I absolutely love my beaver-tailed Sigs. I'd love a 229 Elite in 357Sig. Definitely something i'd need to special order, though I'd settle for a 357Sig slide. And i'm a mere ATC, so unfortunately Sig doesn't have discounts for me. :(

Before the Ear Locks, it seemed like I was adjusting the earbuds or they were falling out every 5 minutes, and I would come home with black ears everyday from constantly touching them with dirty hands. I had them in at work today for 8 straight hours, and neither earbud fell out a single time! I did have to adjust them a few times as they would get uncomfortable after a while, which is to be expected regardless of what type of earbud/headphone you're wearing. Overall they performed just as well as I had hoped!

Have you tried wireless earbuds? I've got some Sol Republic Shadow bluetooth earbuds and I use them as a call headset, as well as for audio and its amazing how much freedom the wireless gives me.

I've never even given them a thought to be honest. I just looked them up and they do look very appealing. My main issue with regular earbuds is that I run the cord up my shirt to keep it from getting in the way but it occasionally gets snagged and rips the earbud(s) out, even with the Ear Locks. Definitely gonna have to add some SR Shadow earbuds to the "Want List".
