The biggest announcement at Maxim Vice was the reveal of the Maxim 9 - an integrally suppressed 9mm pistol. Never before has a company successfully managed to produce a handgun with an integral silencer that is holsterable and hearing safe with any factory ammunition. This product is primed to take the industry by storm, and we’re proud to to show it to you - our loyal SilencerCo supporters - first.

We’re keeping exact product details under wraps since it is still in the final design stages, but one thing is certain - the Maxim 9 will forever change the way people think about firearms when they realize that there is no longer any reason guns have to be loud.

That actually looks promising. Will be curious as to the specs - weight, capacity, barrel length, etc. One knock I see coming is the inability to mount a light. Not a concern for me, but others ...

Field stripping for cleaning looks like it might be interesting too. Running suppressed typically is a dirty job.

Edit: Found this in an online review:
The Maxim 9 has a great balance, and if not for the lack of ear-ringing concussion, one would forget it’s even suppressed. The company tells us that it is hearing safe with all factory ammo, and that proved true for all the ammo we shot. The pistol hopefully will only have one serial number when it ships, as the BATFE is still debating on how to rule on the permanently suppressed design. The firearm will have the added ability to attach lights, lasers and a series of other accessories in final form. They’ve even gone as far as to partner with Raven Concealment Systems to make a special holster for the pistol.

I agree this is cool. I saw some videos on Instagram of this thing firing and it's super quiet that's for sure.

Wow now that's a gun, Robo Cop would be envious! I live in Cali so suppressors aren't even thought about out here, can someone tell me the logic in having a huge handgun like this with an integral suppressor, who's the market?

Yeah see fun gun. I don't think LEO or MIL would pick this up based on price, ergo, and modularity?
