Anybody got any input on this?
I like the idea of the same holster being able to go from duty belt to PC to thigh rig to nightstand to car to whatever.
Kind of like a SERPA without the quality issues and more features.

I haven't used one, and have no input, but I would like to hear more...

I really want to hear more - the possibility of having a 1911/DP Rail/X300 holster that can move seamlessly from a thigh rig, to chest rig, to belt, to internal backpack carry (in Coyote Brown) means that Safariland has some of my cash in the bag, so to speak.

I want to see/know more, especially regarding how fast a transfer would be.

If this price is under $200 for enough kit to do what's listed above, I'm preordering first chance.

It looks like it secures with a SRB-type connector where two flexing arms/tabs lock into the holster frame. The holster is screwed to a frame plate, which can then be locked into a MOLLE plate, a duty belt connector, a plate that can be mounted on a car or night stand, a thigh rig, and so on.

I have this system. I haven't had it for very long, but everything seems secure and it works the way its supposed to. I didn't need one holster and several different mounting options, I actually needed five holsters and one leg panel. (Glock 22 with and without a light, Sig with and without a light and a 1911). So for that its still cheaper than buying five full drop leg holsters. I can just snap the holster I need on the leg panel and go and not have to worry about rethreading a different leg panel to my belt.

I think this is a good system and it saved me some money - not to mention space.

Actually, I was completely unfamiliar with the MLS until this thread started. For whatever it may be worth, here is a quick link (http://safariland.com/duty/mls.aspx) to Safariland's MLS page. Looks like a promising replacement for a lot of less-than-perfect solutions that are already gathering dust in our lockers.

I didn't know about it either. I was looking at a 0701 when I found the info on the MLS and wanted to see if anybody knew anything about it or had an up or down on it.
I really like the modularity of it and the idea that I can use across several different locations and still have one holster.

I have been using it on my SWAT gear and it is the heat. It allows you to use one holster on several platforms. You can easily switch from vest to belt with ease. It is very secure. I highly recommend it.

Have you guys never heard of the G-Code RTI system??
It has allowed you to do this and has been out for a couple years..
I've been running a couple G-Code holsters, Blackhawk, and Safariland with RTI mounts on them for a while..
I have the RTI wheels in my Car, Belt Slide, Paddle, MOLLE adapter, and drop leg...
My neighbor has the RTI wheel mounted in a compartment in his sectional couch..

I'm not sure about the MLS or Recent Blackhawk modular system, but the RTI was the first one out.

Now that you've posted this I remember seeing that before in your pics.
I'll look into that as well.
ETA:
have you used the retention version?
