Description

We designed the Rainier Arms backup-sight so the small and large ghost ring is on the same plane. It is not necessary to change the point of aim when the distance at the target remains unaltered. No tool is necessary to alter the height of the front sight. The Rainier Arms backup-sight is suitable for all AR 15 front sights having a 8-36 UNF thread. Because of this a large variety of after market front sights may be used.

The combination of steel parts where absolutely essential and high grade aluminum parts wherever sufficient, gave us the possibility to implement a sight with minimalistic design, low weight and minimum height.

Thanks to a special surface treatment all parts are corrosion resistant to withstand even maritime conditions. The spring- loaded folding mechanism reliantly protects the sight from damage when used under rough condition in the field.

The Rainier Arms backup-sight with its very low design in a height of only 9 mm / 0.35” allows to be used with extremely low mounted optics.

Not a bad price really for a good set of BUIS. Considering that just the MaTech rear BUIS retailed for $150 when it first came out. Cool shit that I don't need a front sight tool to adjust for elevation, gives better combat applications IMHO.

Still like my MaTech, but it is what I know and is combat proven for me. Still though, these look to be good shit. Not like the Germans are known for making crap.

That I don't know. Possibly Rear Sights down the road, but that probably depends on how well they sell. I don't believe they offered the sights separately when they used Diamondhead ones.

Always wondered on like these or the steel magpuls -never played with any- but how solid are they , I mean to deploy or flip back in, sturdy or just tight enough?

They're easy enough to deploy, IMHO, and snap into position with a nice, solid "click". They do not lock in the deployed position like Troys do, so there is a possibility that you'll close them if they're bumped.

It is what it is for me. They stay up and don't move while i'm shooting. That's really what matters to me. That said, i've never bent, snapped, or otherwise damaged a deployed Troy sight by banging it into something so again, not really an issue for me.

Agreed, strong as they may be, they are slim and low profile, so a locking feature would certainly reduce their ability to stand up to abuse. And they are BUIS. They were never designed to lock in a deployed position like a primary sight system.
