We haven't had a giveaway in awhile, so here we go. For the Holidays, we're going to giveaway 1 WEVO Billet Battle Kitty Lower. If you haven't noticed Rainier Arms is all out, and there will not be any further made. I might have purchased the last 3 [:D] So if you missed out, here's your opportunity to own one.

Not a lot of rules on this one.

1. You must be a US Resident and legally able to receive this lower receiver.
2. This must be sent to a FFL, presumably near you to transfer the lower.
3. You must be a member here
4. Rule 3 is in place, because you have to post that you are "in" on this thread
5. We'll draw on December 19th.

Please DO NOT Post any questions or comments in this thread, other than your entry. If you want to discuss this, we can always start a discussion thread.

Always a consideration, but a small part of doing this is trying to snag a few new quality members. I know some have stuck around and become core guys here from the last giveaway. You included.

I'm not the king or anything so I won't pretend that I am. That said it depends on what the intention is. I found out about this forum because of the Stickman giveaway so I can't complain too much. I won a CMT billet upper and since then I spent at least 10x that on their site and I'm just getting warmed up. In that regards they have a pretty good investment in me [BD]

If the goal is to promote the sponsors or the site then yeah. It brings people over. Business is business. I also think pretty much anyone that shares the passion should be welcomed here (and they are).

On the flip side of that the moochers that just show up for free stuff... well there isn't much to be said about that.

Part of me agrees whole heartedly with you though. Some things probably should be for the regulars but I do see that expanding the footprint of the site and sponsors is important. I am 100% in on the idea to promote participation vs just getting free stuff.

You pretty much nailed it. I get messages regularly from lurkers who just want to ask questions in private, but they do come to the forum daily to get their dose of WEVO photography and or new product posts. I don't want to penalize people who read more/post less. Like you said, minimum post counts only make for "cool" "+1" Posts and no one wants that. I feel like WEVO is still small enough to be more of a neighborhood bar vs the other forums. We just like to have fun, share our photos and we also happen to like guns as well. Just trying to see if we can get more OKG's (Our Kind of Guys)
