The Shooter from Minuteman thoughts?

My company Minuteman watch co is thinking about offering a new American built watch model and calling it "The Shooter" Thus far we have gotten a lot of push back on that name from the watch enthusiast crowd.

I just wanted to see what you fine folks think of the idea.

not a fan of the name, however, I love the company name. If I could throw out a name, The Patriot sounds better to me.

Originally we were calling this our "Desert" model. Someone else suggested "Storm" which might work. At this point I think we might ditch "The Shooter" name

"Shooter" has too much negative connotation among the non-gun crowd, not to mention the anti's. A descriptive compound like Sharp Shooter conjures a completely different mental picture.

Pushback on a watch called "The Shooter" from a brand name "Minuteman" is a little silly (It's not like it's called the School Shooter... ) but I am not what you'd call a watch enthusiast. I wear them on my wrist occasionally and that's about it. I have no interest in a watch that costs as much as a house payment (or more) so take this for what it's worth.

"The Patriot" does sound like a more catchy name, and I'd probably change the graphic to gritted teeth versus a war cry look, but not because of a perceived violence standpoint...I think it'd just look better.

Patriot is actually being used be another brand they were are on friendly terms with so we would not want to use that. At this point we are thinking we will be changing the name on this. Someone suggested "Storm" our original was "Desert" for other models in the past we've considered: Independence and Commander. What do you fine folks think?

Well, It definitely isn't a commander. Its more of a scout if you are going that route.
