View Full Version : Free Dahmer Arms Billet 1911 Grips - FT style Weekend Giveaway

I picked up a set of billet Dahmer Arms 1911 grips during a giveaway on the site here but never ended up using them because they aren't cut for an ambi safety.
I've gotten to a point where I realize it may be years before I find a use for them, so I've decided (With inspiration from FT) to have a small giveaway for the members of this community.
We will play by FT's rules:

1. You must have been a member at least 30 day's prior to this post, with at least 10 relevant posts as of today and time this posts.
2. You must, by entering, stake your character on the fact that you're not just wanting it to sale, trade or otherwise barter it for something else. Please leave it for someone who wants and needs it. Don't be a douche bag.
3. You guess a number between 1 and 1000. If you guess a number someone else has already guessed, you will be ignored.
4. Any other rules or conditions that the Admins may impose will apply, and are beyond my control.

The only difference is that I will be keeping the number to myself. Just in case UW wants to play this time.
I realize these are somewhat of a niche market product, but I figure their value calls for a giveaway more than just being put in the pay it forward thread.

The deadline will be Sunday, 7 Feb @ 23:59 hrs., Mountain Time

The grips are sold by Dahmer Arms for $135 and are often featured by Stickman:

444

Those in this giveaway have been lightly polished and are NOT cut for an ambidextrous safety.

Hey, its only right to pass them on since I'm not using them, and I got them here for free.

I have a feeling that those who enter will have great odds of winning, being as though this forum isn't heavy on the 1911 crowd from which to draw entrants.

If you are handy with a dremel I'd guess that an ambi cut could be made cleanly. I planned to, but just never got around to it.

I can't even draw a straight line with a ruler, so no. LOL I like my VZ grips so I'll let others try for these, as awesome as they are.

Really Nice! They'd look great on my 1911 and look like they'd fit fine.

I was hesitant to get in on this considering I don't currently own a 1911. However, I plan to get one eventually and my cousin currently owns 3, so if I win I'll be giving these to him to break them in for me :)

Seeing as 1911 is greater than 1000, let's go with.....45!

The winning number is 323, which makes Mustangfreek the winner! PM me your info and I'll get the grips sent out.

In case anyone is wondering, I chose 323 because it's the last 3 digits of my account number on a bill I had sitting next to my computer when I created the giveaway thread.

Very good on you BC,thanks

Ill play... 347

Congrats - nice win!!

I have a good friend back in Atlanta with a Fox Body he races. He bought it new. He really wants a 347 crate motor to install in it. He has an SCCA Solo License, really good driver. Retired cop, said that in 30+ years when he was on the road, nobody that ran ever got away. Pic from our club's 2008 show:
