CC Merchants for web orders

I'm trying to help a friend with his ammo business, and we are looking for a credit card merchant for processing online orders. Naturally Paypal and Stripe don't want to work with him, so we are looking for an alternative. Anyone out there know of, or recommend any service? We are looking to use Magento CE for the site. Thanks for any input.

Has he spoken with his own business banking institution? Often banks will offer CC processing, and sometimes for less than larger processing companies.
