I have a converted Saiga 7.62 with the OG gas tube. How are you measuring? If I measure from the ring that interfaces with the trunion its 6.75 if I measure all its right at 7".

If I'm not mistaken that front nut makes length slightly adjustable. I'd be willing to bet you'll have zero issues.
