I was carrying a Kershaw Skyline for a while, but now I carry a ZT 0300 I recently acquired from the ARFcom EE. Once I got it I immediately took it to Panchetta Knife & Pen to have it sharpened, now this sucker is razor sharp

Have been rotating these 3 around lately.

Kershaw 2.75" Cryo
Kershaw 3" Swerve
Kershaw 3.5" RJ I

http://i1310.photobucket.com/albums/s643/Lopann06/KershawGroup1_zps5a674377.jpg

Probably like the RJ I the best, its the quickest open and the G10 grips are the most grippy. The Cryo has the nicest feel, and the Swerve is easily the sharpest out of the three. So guess I'll have to keep carrying them all until I decide on one.

That Cryo looks like it just might fill that hole in my soul until I can get the 566...
Amazon has it for <$40

Cryo is on Midway under 20 bucks. Good deal considering quality of the knife.

There are a few different configurations though if your wanting a cryo with a larger blade.

I'm new here and will probably get laughed right off this forum for my knives, but here is my current EDC combo.

http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/09/26/amahe9ut.jpg

Boker Automat Kalishnikov 74 and a Victirinox. I've carried a knife in my pocket daily since I was 7 or 8 when one of my uncles gave me my first pocket knife from his collection- that was over 40 years ago. I'd love to have a ZT or Grayman, but can't seem to ever afford anything like those.

Well, I just tried posting a photo of my EDC knives but it didn't post (maybe because I'm new here?). Currently, my 2 are a small Victorinox and a Boker Automat Kalishnikov 74.

The Cryo 2 is a great inexpensive alternative to the ZT0566. They're both stainless steel frames (on the lock side, anyway) and assisted. The main difference between the two is the blade steel is much better on the ZT.

Here's a shot of my Cryo 2 tanto with the blackwash finish:

I carry a SOG trident everyday in and out of uniform. It is a replacement to my Ontario xd deployment knife I had and was stolen (was my favorite knife) and is not replaceable :( the sog has great features, assist open, lock to prevent accidentally opening, good steel, light enough to carry comfortable but heavy enough to use.. the only thing I don't like is that the pocket clip is limited to two positionshttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/10/12/e51b60bbbf4efff213513ee266ae24f7.jpg

I love absolutely everything about Dalibor knives. The only problem, good luck getting one. I waited well over a year on his 'notify' list before I could get mine ordered. They are also extremely expensive but I've seen 3 of his knives endure an absolute beating and never give up.

Knives are another thing I have a thing for.

For folders I tend to carry Benchmades. The Axis locks are great. I have been fielding a Barrage for a few months now and that's a nice little-big knife. I prefer a plain blade with a clip point. They are easier for me to sharpen. BM has a pretty good reputation for customer service and a lifetime warranty.

For fixed blades I tend to bounce between Scrapyard and Swamp Rat blades. My all time favorite user mid sized is the Scrapyard 7-11. Smaller fixed blades the 4-11 and the HRLM are favorites though very different knives.

I chose these two sister companies because they have a bomb proof warranty. But you probably won't need it. If you screw it up they will fix or replace it. Dan Busse runs the yard. They aren't made for looks but they darned sure perform. Jerry Busse runs the Swamprat line even though its in his wifes name. Its the bridge between the yard and the Busse line.

Give me a little slack on the photos. I'm not Stickman.

Here is a SYKCO 4-11 next to BM 300

I carry a Spartan Enyo around my neck pretty much everywhere I go. I also carry a Benchmade AFO-II as my EDC and only carry the Enyo for self-defense. I'm only 20 so I still have almost a year before I can start carrying a handgun, so it's nice to at least have something for protection. When I first got it, I tried IWB carry for everyday use and I REALLY wanted to like it, but I just couldn't get used to it. Especially when I would sit down for a period of time it would dig into my side and was just uncomfortable as hell. I think I might get someone to make me an outside the waistband Kydex sheath so I can use it for work. All in all, the Enyo is a very nice, little knife and if you do get a fixed blade I would highly recommend it.

I think with the WEVO emblems, this is a one of a kind. This is a knife I won in a raffle that WEVO members akersc and Compulatopus ran for veterans causes. It's from a company called Dead Moose Ops, and is known as their Breacher model. Dead Moose Ops added the WEVO emblem on both sides, and shipped it with a Teklok Kydex sheath. So with all the color options and the WEVO logo, unless Comp and Akersc ordered one like it for themselves, I believe it's unique. As much as Comp and Dead Moose Ops implored me to treat it as an "ordinary" knife and use the hell out of it, I couldn't bring myself to do it, especially one as expensive as this one (I usually don't buy really expensive knives) and even though DMO offered to cerakote the Logo and and touch up the blade whenever I wanted it, I still didn't. I think I will, next year. So though the thread was titled "EDC" knife, I had to be honest and point out it wasn't. Anyway, didn't know if any WEVO members remembered this one or could appreciate it.

Thanks, I think so too. I was lucky as hell to win it. I never spend that kind of money on a knife, basically due to my propensity to either lose it (which is most of the time), or break it. Almost crapped my pants when Comp and Akersc announced I won it![:D]

ZT 0566BW was bought as a return from a shop for $80. Only bought it because it was cheap, but have come to love this knife. It carries very well for it's size, and makes one hell of a screw driver. It even reviews my daughter's school work. I've absolutely abused this knife and it show very little wear. Only complaint is that the thumb studs are useless.

Joelski

They aren't thumb studs, they're blade stops. It adds strength on frame lock folders.

Good to know, I thought that was what a lock bar stabilizer was for? Mines an older one and it calls those thumb studs in it's manual.

It's a misnomer a lot of makers use. You'll see them on pretty much every framelock. Along with a flipper, or thumb hole. Chris Reeve Knives do use them. As for clearance, not likely if you apply some pressure. The little blade stop pin is the only other thing keeping the blade from collapsing backwards. You also wouldn't see steel liners on benchmade's lock if it didn't employ those pins for strength.

It's okay on the 0566 because the scale and liners are stainless steel. Check the newer ZT Ti framelocks; they have steel inserts on the lock bar. Carbidizing is also a less common solution to lockbar wear.

Nice! A feather stick with a 1/4" thick blade. That's about a badass sharpening job ya got on there, brother! Makes me want another 5! I gotta get another Junglas too!

Brother I've more than amazed myself with this 5! I put some time in thinning the edge bevel a good bit, then convexed it stropping with sandpaper on a mousepad going from 80, 120, 320, 400 then 800 grit then went on a ceramic crock stick set at 20* then 25* to put a micro bevel back on the edge. It's been a really fun blade to play with.

I sold all my Esee's except the two Laserstrikes, this 5 and a Junglas.

I totally missed you getting the second Hinderer on the other forum!!!!

A very close friend filed those scales by hand then gifted me that Laserstrike. He goes by Emac on the Esee forum, he'll do scale mods and make scales from wood blanks also.

Hahahaha! Yeah I would've left that tree trunk right where it was, he's trying to get my big ass to go lift that damn behemoth. He's still got that new to living in south Louisiana excitement going. We were roommates for a few years when I was in college in Arkansas, spend a lot of time hunting, shooting and burning shit down.

Freshly back from Benchmade. Had the combo edge blade replaced with the plain edge for $40, they all replaced everything except the scales and liners for free while it was there. I'm very happy with their customer service and didn't know they offered blade replacement until a few weeks before I sent it off. I bought this Adamas heavily used from a friend for $100, so I've basically got a brand new Adamas for $140 vs $200-250.

No problem! It’s a TOPS Knives MSK 2.5 (mini scandi knife). It’s not a true scandi grind blade though, it had the cutting edge at a wider angle for strength. I’ve carried it almost daily for two years on a ball chain as a neck knife and a few times with just it’s sheath in my pocket. It’s a super handy little blade. I’m probably odd that I prefer carrying fixed blades daily vs folders, the Adamas is the first folder I’ve actually liked and carried in years.

I got to fondle one of those last weekend a buddy from the other forum has. I like the blade design and the looks, but I think the thin section of the handle below the pivot is too skinny for my hands (I wear XXL Mechanix gloves). It’d definitely be on I’d consider getting if I feel the need for another folder.

Nice! That has some touches I like better than Ernie's knives.

It’s been a great knife over the last few weeks I’ve been carrying it. Like most knife nerds it straight to my DMT stone as soon as I got it to get the factory grind marks off and it sharpened up like a razor. I’m still amazed it’s just a $33 knife. Ernie’s gonna be releasing his version called the Rendezvous this year to $250 you’ll get the same blade shape slightly better steel, Ti liner lock and G10 scales on both sides. I’m not sure if that juice is worth the squeeze, but with Benchmade shitting the bed for gun owners Emerson might be a place to look. I LOVE the wave feature, this CQC-11 has been the most fun folder to deploy I’ve messed with so far.

I won’t be opposed to picking up Benchmades from the used market though. I’m likely getting a Contego in a trade soon.
