Magpul stock options are getting downright confusing.

I know it's very different, yet I still kinda want to call this one the Magpul Gunfighter stock [BD]

The line will become further blurred when BCM releases their Mod 1 Gunfighter stock soon.

Was hoping the MSRP was lower on this. Same price as the STR.

Got one on the way.

Wonder if it will hold up like the STR did in the "buttstock bash fest" test. The STR came in second I believe to the UBR. They felt it did so well due to the battery compartments. Isn't Magpul discontinuing the STR?

Isn't Magpul discontinuing the STR?

I asked Magpul on FB if this will replace the STR and their response was: "Doesn't replace it...some like the wider stance of the STR."

I'll probably buy one just to see what it's all about. Not sure it'll be worth the same as an STR. However, since the STR and the SL-K Are my favorite stocks, this appears to be the combo I'm looking for future SBR stocks.

Got my SL-S today and it's exactly what it looks like, feels like a STR but fits like a SL. I like mine a lot so far.

I like the compartment covers much better than the STR. Very secure.

Mine feels just like the STR, pretty much the same width. It may have a slightly tighter fit on the extension.

If you have an STR, you get an immediate feel for the difference.

Here's the SL next to the SL-S. Not the best pic. You can see the butt pad is the same. It's the cheek rest that makes the difference.

The SLS weighs a hair more than the STR, and the angle of the cheek rests is steeper. Probably not noticeable to most people.
