Why, oh why, didn't magpul design this thing with a removable (swapable) pistol grip!?

I would love to snag one of these some day.

Never been so happy to unload a firearm in my life. I don't recall ever making it through a single 30 round magazine with jamming.

I had an ACR, SCAR 16, SCAR 17. I still have both SCARS.

The balance was front biased in the ACR and I hated it. That is......when it ran.

I still want an ACR.

Me too. And there's so many go-fast goodies, the BM means virtually nothing. Unfortunately, the cost of procuring a "flawless ACR" is more more than if a company like KAC would have bought the rights to do it on the first try.

I would entertain an ACR SBR at around $1500.

$2300... not many firearms selling at over 2k these days.

Certainly looks better as a shorty but what took em so long to have an sbr model..

Oh that's one nice ACR.

It keeps calling my name, and it's cheaper than a SCAR SBR.

I know if I got a ACR first, SINNER would harass me for life. [:D]

I fully support any firearm purchase. I'm going to harass you one way or another regardless.

Oh that's one nice webpage about Anything Comparable To Phentermine Available Over The Counter (https://www.outlookindia.com/outlook-spotlight/anything-comparable-to-phentermine-available-over-the-counter--news-301041) updated recently ACR. Me too. And there's so many go-fast goodies, the BM means virtually nothing. Unfortunately, the cost of are high but they are well worth the money procuring a "flawless ACR" is more more than if a company when i like KAC would have bought the rights to do it on the first try.

Looks good but in my opinion this ACR is too costly. Other options are cheaper.

Yep, it IS costly. But I couldn't stop myself and bought it. Just for an addition into my collection.

Maybe since the government shut down is over... for at least 3 weeks, they can approve my ACR that's been pending since May or so. [:D]

Regardless, they've shown they're capable of speeding it up, and yet they don't.

One post? Seriously? Who let Dianne Feinstein in the door and can we get a ban hammer in aisle 5?

The ACR is flawed from the start because it has no internal magazine feed lip supports like the AR15 or AR180. Why BM didn't include this is beyond me. The SCAR has the same stupid problem/oversight.

The better gun, if the modular AR-ish platform, is the SIG MCX.

Hadn’t even heard of this. Is that a consideration? I’ve half been debating getting something other than another AR.

Hadn’t even heard of this. Is that a consideration? I’ve half been debating getting something other than another AR.Most people don't know or don't seem to care about the mag well area.

In my experience with the ACR; a mag that's inserted fairly aggressively will spit out a live round if the bolt is open. This can cause a malfunction right off the bat. Another issue is shooting prone off the magazine. The mag is sloppy and will rock in the mag well. This means the feed lips will get whacked by the bolt carrier and/or press up against the bolt carrier enough to retard the bolt's movement.

Likely none of this was a concern during initial development since the only PMAG that existed was the Gen1. But as the PMAG has been massaged over the years to fit in more and more mag wells the fit can be pretty sloppy in the ACR.

Take a look at other guns that use an M16 mag such as the Tavor. The Israelis knew what they were doing and included feed lip supports in the top of the mag well in that rifle.
