The lower functions fine, but even fitment isn't the same. I'll shoot it until I die, but it was frustrating to figure out what I bought after it was too late.
When they first came out, I handled 2 or 3 of them as I was considering a purchase. The lowers seemed to be the same as my other M4Carbine Colt Lowers. I don't know if they've changed over the production run, like the uppers have. At the time, it was painfully obvious the upper was suspect. Markings, quality, crap handguards, ect.

Ended up passing until I could find OEM's in stock.

Texas Colt Competition Company by all accounts is Tango Uniform; and yet, the FAIL YouTube video gentleman sez the Lower itself is the SAME as current production Colt...

That's what we're trying to say. The Expanse is inconsistent from run to run.

No, that's not what I'm saying. What I bought was advertised as a "M4 Carbine-marked lower," which at the time, wasn't coincident with an Expanse lower. I thought I was buying a new 6920 lower at the normal 6920 lower price point. When I got it, I noticed things were different, but I accepted the transfer. Then I did a little research and found it had all of the elements of an Expanse (machining and FCG, with a slight fitment issue) because, as UW just said, the productions runs aren't consistent. Not much I could do at that point, so i pressed on and started shooting it. But it was still annoying.

    Question

Would you be so kind as to post pics of yours, for comparison?

    Thank you.

Check. I remember lots of talk of this on another forum at the time. Too risky, IMO and reflective of the times Colt has fallen on.
