Hatter - TeLlama has it correct. It is 6.8 and it's a BABC.

I recently built up an 11.5" 5.56 upper with a BCM 410 stainless barrel and Battlecomp 1.0. I halted the project and put it up for sale to help fund my Mega .308 build.

I only put 50 rounds through it on a break in, but found similar performance in the comp. I've yet to have any negative issues with the Battlecomps, great comps that work extremely well. Of interesting note, the 6.8 upper with the BABC looks to be about an inch, inch and a half shorter than the 11.5 with the 1.0. Depending on use, any future rifles I build will include the Battlecomp.

I like the look of the 11.5" build. It's the configuration I'll be building except it'll be a Rainier billet upper and 10.5 Ultramatch barrel. It should put the Battle Comp right at the end of the DDLite 10.0. I'm just slightly delayed because I've learned my local LE wont sign off so I'm heading down the LLC route. Although, once it's complete it'll make all my future builds and other ATF approved toys much easier.

Here's a pic of my old Mk12 Mod0. I parted out the upper receiver to buy a motorcycle, which has since been sold to resurrect another SPR upper.
Details of this upper are:
Noveske SPR rifle length gas barrel in PRI FF tube with ARMS 36PEQ rail and long bottom rail with KAC grip, ARMS 22 med rings, PRI front sight, ARMS 40L rear, Nikon 2.5-10 mildot scope, BCM M16 carrier, AAC M4-1000 can.

This rifle was boringly accurate. I regret letting go of the barrel over all.


New rifle consists of SOPMOD stock, Noveske lower, Noveske intermediate GS SPR barrel, same can, MI 12" T FF tube (can't find a KAC FF rifle tube right now), ARMS 22 high rings with Nikon scope. It's shot well to this point, and it still in break in (<60 rounds). Hopefully it'll match the first one

This was going to be a lightweight build, but I lost focus a little. It came in at 6 lb 5 oz, but handles really well. I do really like the CTR stock.
