The mating surfaces between the mount and the inside of the can are machined so that none of the gasses or fouling comes back behind the first thread's face so the can doesn't carbon lock onto the mount. That's exactly how it looked after removing the can after having shor a few mags through about six hours ago. Gotta love Griffin!

Yep. The Griffin guys are on the ball. I am exceedingly happy with my choices to go with them. I've had the exact same experience. Virtually no carbon gets into the threads or beyond.

So far, i like it. It's been 100% reliable with minimal gas blowback. Runs like a champ. I've only shot it suppressed with one type of ammo, which is subsonic, and it's pretty clean stuff. So that may be part of it not gassing me out as i've heard so many reports of.

You got it! 870 Police Magnum, Remington 14" factory barrel with Modified choke, Wilson/Scattergun +1 mag extension, and Wilson/Scattergun big safety. Simple but fun setup. Actually shot well for me at skeet. Loud though hahaha.
